Gothic southern drama

I liked the writing and this book was well plotted. Very inventive and atmospheric. The one problem I had was that the Kindle version ran the view points together, so that a paragraph ended with Bonnie’s story and the next line was Calhoun or The Grande Dame’s POV. This would go on for a few paragraphs and change back to Bonnie in the next paragraph with no page break of any kind. It was confusing.

Such an entrancing story

This book is such a favourite of mine. The journey through, with mystery and horror, is totally absorbing. Unputdownable and unforgettable.

This entire series is gritty and in places, terrifying, but also completely realistic and fast paced.

A well written novel tends to be one that sticks in your mind. This entire series sticks.

I read the dutch version of this book. I'm sure the language does make a difference, but I must say, even though I only read the dutch version, I really like this book, the way the story evolves, the surprises, its really captivating !
This is a must read. xXx

This book isn't quite 4 stars and more than 3. 3.5 would suit it better. It didn't captivate me as much as it predecessor Betrayal did but that is due to the storyline, the writing was still incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed the style of it.

Great addition to the series. I liked this book much more than the first book, Betrayed. For me it was easier to read, the characters were more likeable. A great book with stunning suspense and excitment.
