Amelia C. Gormley published her first short story in the school newspaper in the 4th grade, and since then has suffered the persistent delusion that enabling other people to hear the voices in her head might be a worthwhile endeavor. She’s even convinced her hapless spouse that it could be a lucrative one as well, especially when coupled with her real-life interest in angst, kink, social justice issues, and pretty men.

When her husband and son aren’t interacting with the back of her head as she stares at the computer, they rely on her to feed them, maintain their domicile, and keep some semblance of order in their lives (all very, very bad ideas—they really should know better by now.) She can also be found playing video games and ranting on Tumblr, seeing as how she’s one of those horrid social justice warriors out to destroy free speech, gaming, geek culture, and everything else that’s fun everywhere.

You can find her self-published Impulse trilogy almost anywhere ebooks are sold, and check out her catalog of Riptide Publishing releases at their website.

Complete review on my blog: Bea's Hive

Full Disclosure:

The novel, Velocity, by Amelia C. Gormley was supplied for review by the author. Also note that this was an advanced copy, so the final version might differ. While it should be obvious to say, this is an honest review and I was not influenced by any action of the author.

The series is Impulse by Amelia C. Gormley and Velocity is the third (and final?) installment. This review will cover the entire series, but focuses on points and quotes from the last book.

Basic Plot:

Derrick and Gavin are still waiting for Gavin’s HIV results. Derrick continues to deal with his harasser. As their relationship solidifies, these outside factors threaten the security of their relationship. Can their relationship stand through this storm?

Strong Points:

One thing that I loved about the book was the humor, such as when Derrick and Gavin picked out their christmas tree:

“Nope.” Derrick circled a perfectly conical tree, inspecting the spacing of the boughs with a critical eye, looking for bare patches. ”Doesn’t mean the cider and fire’ll go to waste, though.”

“I like the way you think. That one’s good. Let’s commit our ritual act of arborcide and get someplace warm.”

Another thing that I loved was the BDSM, but this like is a double edge sword, the same aspects of the book that I liked are those things that I had issues. I really enjoyed the BDSM play, all of the humiliation and breath play. Note that these type of play falls under the edge play, meaning that this is a greater amount of risk, either psychological or physical. I enjoyed the subtle way the author showed their evolving relationship.

What could be better?

This story came out in three book installments. I think I would prefer to have one book and read it at one time. Because the story leaves off at the last book, I had to play mental catch up, 6 months later when the next book comes out. I think that this issue will not be a problem in the future as brew readers can just move to the next book immediately.

First: I am not an expert in the BDSM lifestyle. This is only my opinion, and I fully admit that I could be over-thinking this concern because I am by nature, a cautious person. While I liked the play and how subtle it was, I am a little concerned about how people who are not familiar with the play and lifestyle might take it. For example, if the reader has no experience in the lifestyle or reading about it, I would be nervous about the lack of emphasis on safety and that these two type of play (humiliation and breath) are not considered “entry-level”. Because the play was so subtly built into the relationship, I fear that the danger aspect might be insidious. Of course, it could be that most readers would discount the sex scenes as “kinky” and move on; I just tend to look at the detail. Take this scene for example:

I am torn. Face it, that was one hot scene, and I can easily identify the dominant/submissive traits. I can agree that Ms. Gormley is knowledgeable in the lifestyle and understands aspects like sub-space, power exchange, and safe-words. But at the same time, I am afraid that naive unschooled lovers might try to do this without any prior knowledge or research. There is not even any warning at the front of the book about practicing BDSM play that I have seen in most/many other BDSM erotic romance novels. Not sure if it's a big thing or not, just that I noticed it.

Conclusions:

Overall, I really enjoyed this series. The author’s choice to make such non-typical characters was brave and risky. I think that for the most part she was successful in portraying their character development.

I liked how the incorporation of the BDSM into their relationship and I liked how the type of play was not the same that we see in other erotic romances. However, it still concerns me with the lack of explanation of the types of play, safety, and edge play and some readers who are not familiar with BDSM play might take it within this book lightly. On the flip side, these scenes were well written, extremely erotic, and emotionally charged.

This is a very strong start for a new author. I look forward to see how Gormley grows as an author and I will certainly read any new books she pens.

description

"If I could have chosen someone to put that much faith in, it would have been Derrick. The first time I trusted someone so completely that I let myself go skin-to-skin, it should have been him. If this test comes back positive, I'll never have that with him. And even if he says he doesn't mind, I do. I want that with him."

I'm so glad I discovered and read the well named Impulse trilogy -Inertia, Acceleration and Velocity. All three books are beautifully written, with strong characterisations, great sex, interesting issues and just a feeling of being let into the lives of two men that I genuinely felt attached to. It is sad to say goodbye to the characters but I couldn't have asked for a book and all issues to have been wrapped up better. Full review at http://ontopdownunderbookreviews.com/...

Great conclusion to a wonderful trilogy. I really loved how we finally get Gavin’s POV and I feel that all his angst was very believable. Plus, it gets KINKIER!!!

Loved the ending…beautiful perfection!!!!!

I did get a bit exhausted with the Lukas drama, but did enjoy the twist with him that I never expected in the beginning of the series.

Pretty good conclusion. The issue with Lukas is finally resolved. Gavin and Derrick explore more of their BDSM kinks.

The overall arc of this trilogy is very satisfying, with my favorite of the three books being Velocity. The doubts that plagued Derrick about his ability to handle Gavin’s HIV status once the testing is complete are all but gone, surpassed by Derrick’s quiet determination to be there for Gavin no matter what. And when Derrick decides something, it just is.

But we have witness to Gavin’s increasing uncertainty, and the stunning revelation that Lukas, Gavin’s controlling and manipulative (and believe me, those descriptions are tame) ex, had been a rent boy during his college days, upping the chances that Gavin’s HIV test will come back positive. Which spurs Gavin into contacting Lukas for more information. Big mistake.

Gormley portrays conflict extremely well. The smaller conflict is the homophobic bullying Derrick has with someone one his hockey team sending him threatening text messages, and while it was less of a situation in the third book than it was in book two, it’s still a problem. I liked the way Gormley resolved it; it had me fistpumping the air and laughing out loud.

The bigger of the conflicts, Lukas and his horrific scheming ways, had me gnashing my teeth. I was furious on Gavin’s behalf, and every scene where Lukas acts contrite and in need of help to rectify the error of his ways, I knew he was just trying a different tactic to reel Gavin back in, to control him.

So when Gavin begins to suspect just how deep Lukas’s betrayal goes, I had much satisfaction watching Gavin take his time, build his facts, and handle the situation. (No spoilers here.)

You can tell, with this book, that the relationship between Derrick and Gavin has found its groove. It’s not the high octane lust of the first book, or the quicksand of the second book, and it’s a very satisfying end to a trilogy that is well worth reading in its entirety. In fact, I believe, now that I’ve read all three, the things I thought of as drawbacks about the first and second books, are no longer an issue for me. They make sense in the whole scheme of things and this is one of the most well written, well characterized series I’ve read in quite some time. I enjoyed it immensely, and will probably re-read it at some point for nostalgia’s sake. Thanks, Ms. Gormley, for your effort with such an entertaining read.

SUMMARY (50 words or less)

This author has a beautiful way of storytelling that’s engaging and heart tugging. I feel for these characters. An emotional response in a book is a strong indicator of a great one. I want to hug, hold and be there for them. It’s going to be hard to say goodbye.

Each book has been better than the last, and this one was just...wow! I have loved getting to read about Derrick and Gavin. I love how the concern over Gavin's possible HIV affects them both and how they worked through it. I really, really loved this trilogy and hate to see it come to an end. Highly recommended for sure, this series is a must read!

Velocity', book three of the Impulse Series by Amelia Gormley, picks up where the second book ended. Gavin is still worried about the outcome of his final HIV test and Derrick still telling him that they will find a way regardless of the results. What they don't need is interference; but it comes from all directions, particularly from homophobic teammates who Derrick thought were his friends for years; and from Lukas, who comes back into the picture, putting doubts and fears in Gavin's mind. More than ever, they need to work together or lose their chance at real love.
Derrick, sweet and calm as ever, really comes into his own, providing Gavin with a touchstone, guiding, advising, but not issuing ultimatums, as they learn to maneuver through the pitfalls and pleasures of a new relationship. As their sexual play becomes more intense, their level of trust grows exponentially. When Gavin needs help physically and emotionally, Derrick is there to take over, allowing Gavin to be able to feel like he didn't always need to be in charge. This nurturing is exactly what Gavin needs; Derrick's ability to carry the load for a while, gives Gavin even more insight into Derrick's character and how much Derrick had to endure by himself.
Derrick is determined to show Gavin that he loves him and is serious about staying with him, regardless of the test results so he starts thinking about what he can do to show him how loyal he is. Thinking that his family home carries too many sad memories, he offers to sell it and move to a house that they own together. When he tells his best friend about this decision, he reminds Derrick that his thinking isn't sound because the memories will follow him wherever he goes. Derrick knows he's right and begins to think of other ways to show Gavin how he feels.
Gavin is having trouble telling Derrick he loves him. His troubled past with his ex Lukas has him disillusioned and mistrustful. Part of him still wants to understand how he, usually confident and sophisticated, ever got himself into an abusive relationship and it's causing him a great deal of distress and it doesn't help when Lukas comes to him acting penitent. But Gavin isn't the man he was before and soon begins to question whether Lukas is being truthful or not, but not without damage. Lukas is so slippery that he has Gavin feeling guilty and doubting himself, wondering if he does, indeed, owe Lukas something. Worse yet, Lukas plays on his emotions further by insinuating that Gavin isn't being fair to Derrick, saddling him with an HIV positive man who, at any time, could infect him. Still, he's not entirely sure; that keeps part of him feeling sorry for him. Even though everyone around Gavin tries to tell him that it's just a ploy, that Lukas is playing on his sympathies in order to keep his hooks in him, but it's up to Gavin to decide for himself. All the while Derrick and his friends stand impatiently, but silently by his side, supporting him through the ordeal.
Derrick and Gavin both have tons of baggage which left them emotionally scarred, but during this series, have learned to put those aside and allow themselves to be healed by each other's love, trust, and loyalty to each other. Their accomplishment is monumental and I have to admit that they are quite memorable characters which will be in my heart for a long time. Not only does Amelia present a love story superbly told, but she also ventures into the difficult subjects of homophobia and abuse and does so with sensitivity and realism. I recommend this series to everyone who would appreciate a storyline full of angst, hot BDSM sex, done with respect and trust, and a happy ending. Thanks, Amelia, for helping me, through Derrick and Gavin's eyes, see life differently.

*Warning: this review contains spoilers for the previous books in this trilogy*

This final installment, Velocity, is a quiet climax of the Impulse trilogy in which Derrick and Gavin finally find out if they'll have a happy and healthy future together. I've been enjoying their extensive story for a while now and if there ever was a fictitious couple I was rooting for their total HEA then it was Gavin and Derrick. They've been through quite a difficult, long period of insecurities and in this third story of the trilogy it's still not over yet, until right up until the end. And I have to say that I've been not even mildly bored for a second during it all. On the contrary.

Gavin's ex Lukas shows up one more time to play mind games with Gavin. The way Gavin handles his ex this time shows his growth as well as the influence of Derrick's love. Still, there's a whole new reason for Gavin to be anxious about the HIV test introduced by Lukas' manipulations. For a minute there, I thought that Lucas maybe had more layers to him than we'd seen so far, but sadly he stayed a rather one-dimensional character after all.
What I loved is that in the end the outcome of Gavin's test won't have an influence on his and Derrick's romantic relationship anymore, whether it'll be positive or negative. The men have grown to love each other so much and learned to work through their issues together so well, that their plans won't change anymore no matter the verdict Gavin will get.

I found it rather admirable how skillfully this trilogy is written and how well the author managed to keep Gavin and Derrick's story interesting over such a long period of time, while the main plot arc didn't change that much during the three installments. She made her characters three-dimensional and their development multilayered, which ensured that I wanted to keep reading about these guys.

So, this trilogy is definitely a recommendation for readers who love character driven m/m romances with quite some angst and plenty of hot and meaningful sex scenes with some D/s tendencies. Derrick and Gavin will turn out to be rather unforgettable if you’re anything like me.

I haven't always been comfortable with everywhere Amelia Gormley has taken Derrick and Gavin. When I started the series, there was barely a whiff of where these two would end up sexually, and suffice it to say, they ended up outside of my comfort zone. I read book two, Acceleration, and realized they were entering the BDSM zone and then had a decision to make. Keep reading the series or write it off? The thing is, Gormley did such a good job making me invest in the characters, I had to keep going. I had to see how their story would end. And while their brand of kink still doesn't do it for me, I am glad I chose to see it through.

The past two books followed these two men as they began their journey into relationship and ramped things up to a fever pitch. We've seen their failings and weaknesses, hunger and joys. And this final installment is all about whether they'll have their happily ever after, and what it might look like. Among other things, that includes finding out Gavin's HIV status and dealing with his horrible ex.

The story moved pretty fast. I read it all in one sitting. What I liked about it is that the relationship is really evening out. The last book had these guys consumed with sexual fire. And while the sex is a vital part of their dynamic here, the focus is really more on trust and commitment. Derrick is a lot less emo. Gavin is (somewhat) less neurotic. And the power between the two of them felt a lot more balanced. One of the things that really bothered me about Acceleration was that I felt Gavin held all the cards. Maybe it was in part because he dominated Derrick in the bedroom, but in other ways too. Here, Derrick got to take the reins some, both sexually and with emotional empowerment. I needed to see this balance to feel better about their future.

The sexual element focused less on the humiliation factor and more on the pain than the last one. Take that as you will. Neither appeals to me. But I do acknowledge that the author uses the dominance and submission as a tool for these two to work out their emotional issues.

When all was said and done, though, I was satisfied with the conclusion. I think I'd recommend the trilogy to contemporary m/m romance fans, especially if you think BDSM is hot.

Another winner for Amelia C. Gormley!!!

In Velocity we find Gavin and Derrick getting used to their life as a couple. Gavin has almost moved in with Derrick who has slowly but surely let Gavin into his life – sharing his space, his music and his heart. Of course, there is still the big IF lurking in the background of their lives, but nevertheless these two try to keep building upon their relationship. Especially Derrick, who after deciding to let Gavin in also chose to stay with him every step of the way be it good or bad. Gavin is also enjoying their new relationship but as the date for his HIV test comes closer and his ex Lukas shows up, Gavin is an anxious mess. Gavin’s thoughts affect him badly – he doesn’t sleep, he questions, he doubts. And when finally Gavin can’t take it anymore, Derrick is there to catch him as he falls. A quiet, constant presence of strength, loyalty and love.

Amelia C. Gormley‘s writing was as engaging and emotionally driven as the previous two books, but I have to mention that this time around the mood felt different. For me there was more urgency to the story, not only in finding out the test results, but in Derick and Gavin making their connection real. I loved how the character’s emotions ranged from the tender, loving ones right to the passionate, lustful ones then seeing how Gavin’s rage and doubts end in his submission to what his future held. Brilliant!

I don’t know if I should be sad or happy about this third and final installment of the Impulse series. These characters have done a number on my emotions and I am sad to see them go. But I am more than happy with how far they have traveled on their journey and more than satisfied with how this one played out. Amazing characters, their connection and their emotions are my kryptonite and Amelia wielded her power over me for all it was worth – passion, anticipation, fear, need, caution, hope, helplessness, anger, submission, control, safety, dominance, resistance, trust. This are just a few of the things that jump out at me when I thing about this book and the Impulse series.

Amelia, you owe me a new pair of characters for me to angst and drool over. Thank you for the wonderful ride!

My Review:
I'm pretty sure this is the final installment of the romance between Gavin and Derrick. We've watched them develop as a couple in these three books, but this one probably has the biggest test for them as Gavin's past with a boyfriend comes back to haunt them. In this book, Gavin is waiting for his final HIV test to come back. Complicating the wait is the ex, who just won't let go and knows how to manipulate Gavin emotionally.

This book is told entirely from Gavin's POV and he's having a rough time of it. Derrick continues to tell him that no matter what the test results say, they are good, but Gavin has a hard time trusting that.

I have to admit, I've enjoyed this entire series. Derrick is the big blue-collar type. He doesn't have much experience dating (try none), but he has a great intuition with what people need and he really sees Gavin. I love how he knows and understands Gavin's needs. Gavin is the more polished, suited gay guy. He's smaller, but typically is in charge of the reins so to speak in his relationships. He's normally a really self-confident guy, but his last relationship changed everything in that. Both these guys have moments where they like to have COMPLETE control in the bedroom and that yields some pretty sexy results.

The books have been good. This final one rated just a tiny bit lower than the other two, but that's mainly because it's dealing with real-life issues that aren't so entertaining (and I base my ratings on my entertainment value). But Amelia handled this story line gorgeously showing the difficulties faced by so many gay men....and not just through the HIV story line. She also had an ongoing story with Derrick and the problems he faced with his hockey league when he came out.

I highly recommend this series. It follows one gay couples relationship, so they really need to all be read in order, although I think any of them could stand alone. The story is enriched though by reading all of them together.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

The final book in Amelia Gormley's Impulse trilogy—Velocity—is much more than I expected, and I was expecting quite a lot.

It's not just a tying up of the threads comprising Derrick's and Gavin's stories, and their story—and it does do that beautifully—it's a fulfillment of the promise inherent from the very beginning. The promise of a rich and happy life for two men who, both damaged and living with the (metaphorical) scars, are still aware enough that their initial attraction is so much more than just lust.

Impulse is an extremely satisfying series in which, over the course of the three books, Derrick and Gavin are able to move beyond their crippling pasts to a partnership that is truly between two equals, both strong and loving men. Through Inertia and Acceleration, books one and two, each of them has to deal with the pain and betrayals experienced. Derrick's experiences are, for the most part, more distant while Gavin's are definitely closer. And yet their pasts are both part of the present and something that they have to deal with individually as well as together.

Velocity is a testament to the power of love, romantic and sexual, as well as that of friends and family—and friends who are family.

At the end I'm left breathlessly waiting for the next book by Amelia Gormley. With the Impulse stories she captured not only my heart and mind, but she titillated my senses. All wonderful experiences for this avid reader!

In this final book of the series, Derrick and Gavin become more comfortable in their relationship, especially Derrick. Gavin’s inner turmoil about his pending HIV status brings the best out of Derrick, allowing him to express his commitment in ways important to both of them. There’s a bit of role reversal at play as Derrick becomes the more confident one in the relationship while Gavin’s insecurities become heightened. It was lovely to see Derrick blossom and thrive in his new life and have Gavin allow him to be the person to be leaned on for a change.

This was an intense exploration of the issues confronting gay partners, not just related to HIV but the social aspects of same-sex relationships. While it was enlightening, it was also heartwarming to see how Derrick and Gavin worked through them, both experience a level of commitment that neither had ever had the opportunity to achieve. As with the first two books, the sex scenes were intense and an expression of both of their feelings. They were sensual, explicit and off the steam meter charts!

I love this series and these characters. They were smartly drawn, flawed individuals who I became invested in pretty quickly. The writing is extraordinary writing and I pretty much will be reading anything Amelia Gormley chooses to create going forward. If you’re interesting in exploring m/m romance with a strong storyline and finely developed characters, I highly recommend this series.

VELOCITY is a wonderful addition to a series romance with the closure I needed about one lead's HIV status.

Gavin and Derrick are enjoying life as a couple but the pall of Gavin's HIV status still overshadows their daily joy. When Gavin's ex-boyfriend returns and tries to manipulate Gavin yet again, it's up to Gavin to stand up for himself. Derrick and Gavin use the holiday season to solidify their commitment to each other.

I've enjoyed the previous two books in this series and this one is just as enjoyable. Gavin and Derrick are lovely, well-written characters who I've come to care about as I read their relationship develop. The sexual intimacy between the men continues scorching so I know MM fans will adore that and I like that their emotional intimacy continues to deepen as well.

The secondary characters of Derrick and Gavin's friends offer a good community for the men's relationship that I enjoyed. I like that this book has both men and women friends for Derrick and Gavin as too many MM romances lack female characters in my opinion but that isn't the case here.

Finally, the book offers the resolution I desperately needed about Gavin's HIV status. This storyline needs resolution and it happens here. I also liked that the issue of Derrick's hockey team is well addressed.

VELOCITY is a very good MM romance that series fans will gobble up as I did but even new readers should enjoy its erotic and emotional romance.

This is the last book in the series, and things are solidifing with Derrick and Gavin's relationship. Derrick is finally all in, opening up to Gavin in many ways. He is there like a trustworthy anchor, keeping Gavin grounded while they await Gavin's HIV test results. I just love Derrick more and more.

In this book, we have both POVs for the first time in the series, and I enjoyed being privy to Gavin's thoughts and fears. The tension of waiting for his results was intense and well done. I grew to understand more the impact of that and his time with Lukas and what that had done to him.

We also get to see more of Lukas and learn a lot more of the games and manipulations he used with Gavin. It was so much more malevolent than what I had thought, considering how strong Gavin was as a person. It was well done, showing and describing how abusive situations develop over time, how the abuser isolates and undermines the person all to get control.

And Miss Ingrid. *contented sigh*. I just love her guidance and support for Derrick and his life.

Their sex life plays an important part of the story, and the BDSM aspects gets more intense with this book: . I'm not always comfortable with this, but it didn't detract from the book for me.

This is the 3rd and Final book in the Impulse series. It's the conclusion of Derrick and Gavin's story.

Okay, so I HATE giving bad reviews, and I don't know that this book was bad per se, but it druuuug on forever!! It felt like the never ending book. This series could have been combined into two books, IMO.

I said it in my review of book 2, and I will say it again. I do NOT like BDSM. I am sorry but I find NOTHING sexy or hot about causing someone pain or calling them degrading names, but I guess to each their own. It's just not for me.

I found this book kind of boring. I didn't find a good connection between Derrick and Gavin. It just didn't always feel like a loving relationship. The chemistry from book 1 disappeared, for me.

It's not a bad book, just not my cup of tea.

If you haven't read Saugatuck Summer by this author, pick it up. You won't be sorry when you read Topher and Jace's story. They are smoking hot together!!

I came to this series via a GR friend review. I read them back to back and I really like the series but I am a bit subdued after reading. Only because the MCs dealt with the There was so much more to Derrick and Gavin's relationship. I am giving the series a 4 star rating but gave books 1 and 2 three star ratings. I probably should have given them all 4**** because the characters were well developed, more so than most. There was a great supporting cast. I have stated before - sometimes I hate a series when the author could have given us a really long book to read and enjoy all the way through. I also couldn't help but remember friends and loved ones during and after the read. Don't let my reticence stop you from reading. Very good series.

Excellent book a satisfying ending if this is the last of the series. Loved the way Derrick was the rock that Gavin needed to get through the final phase of the testing. Gavin's need to confront Lucas and coming to terms with what Lucas actually did to him was well done. Even though I wanted to yell at him for listening to Lucas' BS and doubting himself and Derrick. However, this was such a well done portrayal of conman/abuser and the lengths they will go to I order to keep their victim under their control, even after the victim has removed themselves from the abuser. I actually think this is the first book I have read where the abuser is also a well rehearsed con man. In combining the two you have a person who can just about and in some cases completely break you mentally and emotionally. I am so glad for Gavin and Derrick they are wonderful characters and I will miss them.

4.5 stars for the series

I really enjoyed this series and came to love both Derrick and Gavin. Bear in mind that this is one story told through all three books and none of the storylines are completed until the third book.

Each book builds on the growing relationship between Gavin, who is just out of a bad relationship, and Derrick, who has spent the past 10 years alone and celibate. Both men have a lot baggage that will directly impact their relationship. This is a character driven book that seemingly starts as a light romance, with Gavin sabotaging his appliances so he can call back handyman Derrick to his apartment, but then becomes an emotional, multi-layered story as they get together and have to work through their issues and fears to continue moving forward.

3.5 stars.

This is the third and last book in the Impulse series, which continues in the same pattern of sex, sex, more sex, a little angst, sex, sex, sex again, angst, sex, sex, HEA. I enjoyed it all the same though, and was happy to see where Derrick and Gavin's relationship went. The parts with the ex-boyfriend were really frustrating to read and I wanted to smack Gavin in the head sometimes, but I could see how his vulnerable side would easily fall victim to a manipulator's mind games. This was quite emotional,as were the first two books, which left me with a warm fuzzy feeling all the way through. Highly recommend the entire series!

Fantastic third book in this series. I love Gavin and Derrick. I love how they work and love together and this story just highlights those feelings. I cannot wait to reread the series all together. If there are more books for Gavin and Derrick I would read in a heartbeat, if there aren't anymore I feel like they are on their way to a healthy and realistic HEA.
I just really love this series and I know I will be adding this series to my comfort reads. Fantastic. Truly.

4.5 stars. Amelia C. Gormley has a few surprises up her sleeve in Velocity, the final installment of her wonderful Impulse series. While the first two books in the series focused mainly on Derrick and his issues, it is finally Gavin’s turn to come to terms with the various problems he is facing.
