A fruit-basket turnover of names over a period of twenty centuries, crammed into 425 pages. More confusing than not.

I picked this up because of my ancestry, and wanted to learn more about the country's history. I found the book fascinating, but also found it to be a difficult, academic read...in large part due to the way it is written.

Good for a general overview and well written - some of the information included is outdated.
