The author to this book Tina Ordone A.K.A. Britta Addams gave me a copy of her favorite novel. You know authors have novels that they consider their "baby" and I had asked her which one of her novels was her favorite and she mentioned this one. So I participated in a live chat with Britta along with other bloggers and she offered me any of her novels and I asked her for this one, since she spoke of it with admiration.

This is a very sweet and romantic story. The main character named "Honoria" who fell in love practically at first sight with Lord Jeremy Saintaubin. Honoria had to endure lots of negativity from her brother as well as cruel punishments when he finds out that she was "entertaining" him. Due to those incidents, she was sent running to Jeremy and endure whatever came to her. With Honoria, Jeremy felt he had it all with her, the sun raised and set in his eyes with her. He loved like he never believed he would. He found in her what he never thought possible and she in him also.

"Her Timeless Obsession" was a love story based on how Jeremy and Honoria fought to not let anyone interfere in their relationship and the affection and love they had for one another. I won't write much more because I don't want to give the book away. But it's definitely a sweet romantic read. If you're into historical romances, then pick up this book.

Tina Ordone has written a love story so poignant and so endearing that I shall not forget it for some time to come. Once I started this book I found it very hard to put down. This was such an easy book to love because the characters didn't feel contrived. Honoria Danby and Jeremy Saintaubin are one of the most real couple's (next to author Alice Clayton's Grace Sheridan and Jack Hamilton) I have read in all my life. Despite Jeremy's injury, incurred during a battle in the army, and Bartholomew's (better known as Bart and Honoria's brother) hatred of Jeremy the two seem to be unable to stay away from each other. It kills Jeremy to think his injury will drive Honoria away so instead he tries to keep her away from him and Honoria, knowing that she must have Jeremy for her husband above all things, takes it upon herself to go after what she wants despite what it might do to her reputation. I LOVED how even though these two people barely knew each other they knew enough that they had to be together no matter what it cost. I also loved how Tina (a.k.a. Brita Addams) used Prentice Hyde, a character from Brita's Sapphire Club Series (Serenity's Dream and Lord Decadent's Obsession), in such a way as to connect her two different types of writing styles. If you had read any Brita books you would know the reference and possible have a knowing smile but if you had not it would not affect your enjoyment of the story. Which I found to be a clever little trick to acknowledge her Brita fans. This story starts in 1910 when Mrs. Honoria Smythe finds a picture and falls almost in love with the gentleman in it Jeremy Saintaubin. But the real story takes place a hundred years earlier in 1810 which I like. Tina didn't keep jumping back and forth between the time periods which can be annoying in some stories. She kept it mainly in 1810 and when it went back to 1910 the transition was done smoothly and I didn't have the oh we are now back to a different time feeling. This story was beautifully written and pulled at my heart. The sex in this book was tastefully written and not offensive in the least. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 20 because this book, in my opinion, was truly a magically romantic book and I can see why it is near and dear to Tina's heart. I feel EVERYONE 18 and older should pick up a copy of this book and read this wonderful love story for themselves and fell the taste of true love as only Tina Ordone can tell it.

Her Timeless Obsession was a great romantic read. I found the story to be confusing at first. When the story starts, Honoria Smythe is going through old trunks belonging to one of her ancestors. After reading a journal that her ancestor’s friend kept, she learns that her namesake died of a broken heart. She reacts to the news as if she is living the events herself and desperately wishes that the couple could have had a wonderful life together.

The story then flips to the past where Honoria Danby, the ancestor is constantly having déjà vu. She is able to predict everything that happens in her life as if she has done it before. What’s worse is that she knows that the man she loves will die if she doesn’t figure out how to save him.

I really enjoyed this book. I am in love with historical romances right now, and this one just reinforced that. I loved the romance between Honoria and Jeremy. They were very much in love and caught up in their whirlwind romance despite her brother’s protests. They were fun characters to read about, especially when Honoria was having her way with him at the beginning of their courtship. Although Jeremy was doing his best to not encourage her because of his disfigurement, Honoria was determined to have her Jeremy whether he wanted to be had or not.

Of course in all romances, you have to have that someone that hates to see happy endings. Honoria’s prick of a brother did some things that were just low and dirty. His petty jealousy towards Jeremy was a little over the top, but his actions made me read the story a little faster to see what other evils he would stoop to.
