Remember that summer when everything changed? Days away from marrying a man she doesn't love, Katy's shocked when fate throws her in the path of Jago Rodriguez - he may have left her years before, but now he's back, more beautiful than ever and still makes her heart skip a Spirited, impulsive and independent, Libby has no interest in relationships, until she comes face to face with a man who won't give up and a date she can't turn down! Wanted by every woman he's ever met, Alex is totally unprepared when a stranger appears on his doorstep with a baby in her arms and turns his world upside down.
USA Today and #1 Sunday Times bestselling author Sarah Morgan writes romance and contemporary women's fiction and her trademark humour and warmth have gained her fans across the globe. Sarah lives near London, England, and when she isn't reading or writing she loves being outdoors.
Look out for Sarah's latest novel - All Together for Christmas (UK title)/ A Merry Little Lie (US/Canadian title)
The story was not bad, the flow of reading was not bad. Just I can tell it was an earlier write of Sarah Morgan's. I do not like the descriptions of all the men thinking they own the women. I feel too strongly about both partners being equals to score any higher.
When you one set of triplets, with three gorgeous doctors and an extremely talented romance writer, the result is Summer With Love, which is three individual stories, one about each of the Westerling triplets, set a few years apart from each other, so that you can get a sense of continuation between them.
For each of the stories, it doesn't take too long to realise who will end up with who, but I was so caught up in the sexual chemistry each time, I was thoroughly enjoying the journey, with the inevitable ups and downs.
In the first one, Katy's first true love comes back into her life, just months before she is due to marry a suitable man, and turns her well ordered plans upside down. They are both working together in the A&E department of a hospital and some of the cases that were brought in really had my adrenalin pumping. The man in question is Jago, a sexy Spaniard from Seville and an amazing doctor too.
Then there is Andreas who buys a date with the second triplet, Libby, despite Libby swearing she is off men for life. They work in paediatrics and it was enjoyable getting to know a few of the children on the ward, and see just how caring they both are.
Finally there is Alex, who ends up with a very unexpected house guest, and he refers to himself as the Wolf, and the girl as Red Riding Hood, and it has to be the most erotic interpretation of that story I've ever seen.
Within minutes of beginning Summer With Love you are transported into Sarah Morgan's familiar and comforting writing style, and into her magnificently romantic and sexy settings. There is a great degree of sexual tension in each of the three stories, and I found I was drooling over all the leading men.
I really want to say one of them was a favourite but I just can't - Katy is a great introduction to the family, and gives a great insight into all the family dynamics at play too, Libby's story had two people who clearly love children being so loving towards them, while winding each other up, and then Alex is trying his hardest to fight his feelings for his house guest, and as the story progresses you see him in a whole new light.
Another fantastic book from Sarah Morgan that was a delight to read.
Until I came across this book in a charity shop, I was convinced I had read every single book Sarah Morgan has ever written, so obviously I had to read this one quickly.
It is obvious from the storyline as well as the writing that it is one of SM´s earlier books. There are some repetitions and discrepancies in there and the storyline is riddled with stereotypes, not just of what constitutes to be `manly` or `womanly` (who is nurturing, level-headed, possessive, the better doctor, insecure, the better cook etc) but also what specific characteristics certain nationalities possess. No, in real life I don´t want a man to own me (and tell me so) and although I think some women might find male arrogance attractive, these specific specimen take it way too far... Oh and I´m also unsure how these men can possibly be as fit and healthy (and muscular/strong/broad shouldered etc.) with their lifestyles (Alex seems to live off no food at all during the day and beer and whisky in the evening while sometimes working 36hr shifts).
Now you might be wondering why I keep reading SM`s books (though she has changed her writing style quite a bit over the last year or so). The thing is, when I decide to read one of her books, I am not looking for something realistic, eye-opening or thought provoking, I read enough other stuff that meets these criteria. When I pick up one of these stories, I am looking for something predictable and comforting and I am happy to leave the feminist in me outside the door for that (although it doesn´t stop me from shaking my head every once in a while).
Okay, yes it is rather predictable but what's a true love story without a happy ending? This book shows how people come together and how life can evolve into something that you never imagined. My favorite part of the book was Alex's story. The fact of the matter is: don't expect this book to be a surprise or jaw dropping. It is a fantastic light hearted book that will make your head swim into happiness. If you feel like a nice light book that you'll feel good after reading then go ahead but if you feel like you want some thing more deep and outrageously surprising then try looking for something else. The book is what it is, a great love story.
This is my favourite book in the world, the easiest read imaginable and the best way to entertain new and old friends alike with games such as “how will she describe his masculinity next?” and “how many times can she bring up one man being Greek in a third of this book?” (Spoilers: it’s 34.)
I have gleaned hours of entertainment out of explaining the plots and conflicts of this book to anyone who will listen, to the point where I must’ve read it through over ten times (and this is NOT a short book), complete with loving pencil annotations and dog-earedness characteristic of a very very well loved book. There’s something about a story centred around 3 rich, gorgeous, successful, sensitive triplets that makes you a little unsure that they are struggling this much to find happiness in their love lives, after all.
Endearingly ridiculous at best and a racially stereotyped waste of paper with love interests who are borderline abusive - with genuine sections dedicated to labelling pretty genuine homophobia as a ‘cute quirk’ that comes with being Greek at worst, this is objectively not Sarah Morgan’s proudest moment. I nonetheless have spent many a very happy afternoon flicking through yet again for any missed senseless adjectives thrown in front of the word “male” to indicate attractiveness, and would recommend this book to anyone hoping to take the piss for a few hours with friends. Five stars.
I bought one of Sarah's earlier books instead of rushing to buy her latest. I was expecting a novel about triplets but got a trilogy, so it was very good value for money, but I think her newer books are more real. Rich children of a cabinet minister weren't easy characters to relate to, but I still enjoyed the stories. Book 3 was my favourite.
Great Summer read - I think I enjoyed reading the stories of triplets Katy, Libby and Alex the most out of all of Sarah Morgan's work I've read so far.
Honestly quite an oldfashioned view on the females and the male - could be done it he 70 or 80 but not fit for past 2000. the later books are significantly better
This is a delightful book, divided into three parts. It is about triplets, born into a very wealthy family, but they all had a very difficult relationship with their parents, especially their father, a leading banker. He has tried to bully them all into doing what he wants, but they have all defied him and gone into medicine, Katy and Alex are both A&E doctors, and Libby is a paediatric nurse. Because of their problems with their parents when they were growing up the all have a phobia about commitment.
Katy had a love affair with a young Spaniard when she was eighteen, and never found out why he suddenly left her, ever since she has avoided any relationship where feelings are involved, and is planning to marry a man who sees her as an asset to his business interests. Libby has had a few horror story relationships, the last one with a man who hadn't told her about his wife, and she has sworn off men and relationships for life. Alex has always gone out with glamorous blondes, making it quite clear that he has no intention of getting serious, and no-one lasts more than three months with him.
Each of them find their perfect partner at work, and each of them fight against the attraction. I believe Sarah was a nurse at one time, so all the hospital scenes sound very real. It is delightful watching these three lovely people fight their attractions all the way, and their love interests are reasonably patient with them, allowing them to sort their feelings out with just small nudges in the right direction.
I love a good chick lit book, but I did not enjoy this at all. I read several chapters merely because once I started it was like a car crash I couldn't look tear my eyes away from.
The descriptions of the characters appearances and behaviour was really odd and unrealistic, e.g. the good looking male: Masculine pure virility / aggressive sexual urges like the need to slam the woman down and have sex with her in a public place, no male could resist having sex with her, he knew she belonged to him etc.
The women are so sexy and fragile and vulnerable - when she dressed in a sexy clothes she was 'showcasing her beauty'/ could stop traffic in the dark/ could see her nipples through the flimsy fabric of her top. Why do her female characters always have shaking hands when they see an attractive man? Why do they always faint or need rescuing from men....
Another thing that annoyed me - Jago claims fidelity is the most important thing to him yet he literally forces Katy to have sex with him when he thinks she's engaged to someone else? Hypocrite??
Also major rape vibe here... He tricks her into going away with him, books hotel rooms away from everyone else and then forces himself into her hotel room with a locked door, gets her naked even when she's already told him she's not interested. Disturbing.

Katy Libby and Alex were very close triplets. Katy and Alex and Libby were doctors. Katy was working with an ex boyfriend Jago they had lots of history together. She was supposed to be marrying Freddie but after her heated kissing with Jago would Freddie ever satisfy her. Katie took her first steps towards the alter on her father's arm and the look Jago gave her told her that everything about her life was perfect. Libby was also a doctor she always picked the wrong guy and had bad taste in men. The last one had been married with children and forgot to tell her. Finally Libby found her perfect man Doctor Christakos and she Married him. Alex Westerling was known foe his commitment phobia. This changed when Jenny and baby Daisy came into his life. Alex bought Jenny an engagement ring.
This is the omnibus edition of the three Westerling books by Sarah Morgan. Have been abit confused about what to do about this for th ebook count - but as one of the childrens books I read earlier in the year wasn't in the database, I've left this in as well as the three entries for the individual books so that I don't end up buying them again!
I think I liked Libby's story best - because the plot has the most elements and she's a doctor pulling a doctor rather than a nurse pulling a doctor and I don't like secret baby plots.
A wonderful trip of medical romances. The Westerling triplets struggle with love until that it they meet their perfect match... Katy is marrying someone she doesn't love then she meets an old flame and any thoughts of marriage to the "wrong" man go out the window. Libby has always had trust issues but after a charity auction she falls readily into the hands of Andreas. Alex the serial commitment phobe is wrongly accused of being a father but what happens when he falls in love with his accuser? Sweet stories to warm the heart.
An enjoyable light-hearted read about a set of triplets from a wealthy family, who all end up in the medical profession. I love Sarah Morgan's writing, so ended up buying this book to continue my break from psychological thrillers. Whilst I enjoyed it (and the peripheral story about the Westerlings' family background), I think the Glencoe series was a better, more emotionally involved story.
That said, it's a good source of a couple of hours of escapism (and dishy doctors!!)
I loved reading these stories. Sarah Morgan's writing style is very easy and light to read, Her characters are always well rounded and believable. This book is about a set of triplets and how they find their HEA, I will admit it is obvious who will end with who as soon as they meet, but I still enjoy the journey and if you are looking for a nice relaxing read these are definitely worth looking at.
It's very rare for me not to finish a book but I got fed up with the tense deep looks and heart beat skipping moments. I have just read Sarah Morgan's book set in Paris and was looking forward to this one. It is a Mills & Boon publication, and kudos to Sarah, she can change her writing to match the style of publication. But it's not for me.
I only read the first 140 pages but it was like reading a wattpad fan fiction or a medical journal with two lusty people. No depth in characters, no plot building to bind people to the book, everything was hastily written except for the parts about lusty feelings, looks, and the main act itself. Pure trash.
I normally like Sarah Morgan but this is not her best work. An extraordinary number of head turning good looking millionaires working in one NHS hospital. The resolution of the father’s story was completely unbelievable. And the men were sexist, consent was borderline and the sex was completely unsafe.
This one wasn't my favorite. I liked the first 2 stories better than Alex', but even the romantic in me find it hard the 3 proposals on the spot before even any relationship took place

As the last book of the series, this last book did get a bit repetitive for me. I really wanted to shout at the characters through the book- but overall it was good
