Review:
I thought that the title was appropriate - uplifting and inspirational! I love to sit down at night and read about the tribulations and triumphs of the people I share the world with. After hearing about all the sadness in the world via the nightly news, I often wonder where all the upbeat news is. Are people only interested in the depressing, horrible, and gruesome? I do not think so, although that seems to be what sells these days. So when I picked up this book, I knew that I was going to enjoy it; only drawback, I was not a fan of the fonts used in the book, I found it difficult to read at times and would have preferred a less “fancy” script; even the font from the back cover would have read better. However, overall, I found this book to be a worthy escape from daily-life, motivating me to contemplate and strengthen my relationship with God. Each of the twenty-three stories is unedited, left as the storyteller wrote it, which makes this book all the more inspiring. I loved every heartbreaking, breathtaking, and uplifting story I read, but a few of my favorites were: “I Felt the Touch of God”, “Still Some Good In this World”, “The Promissed Story”, and “You Shouldn't Limp for the Lame”. Healing and getting through tragic/stressful times is difficult for everyone, but through Uplifters, readers learn from the experiences of others – their hopes, fears, mistakes, coping mechanisms, etc... Debbie Hoffman Nutile's inspirational compilation is truly uplifting and worth the reflection. Highly recommended to those seeking a raise in their spirits and a warming of their heart.

Uplifters: Inspirational Stories from the Heart is a collection of 23 real-life stories from people all around the world who want to share their story of triumph and revelation with us. It sometimes takes a human condition for some people to tell an inspirational story. However in Upifters these stories don’t only fall in one category, but also under revelation. As I read each story they had one reoccurring theme uplifting, bringing the heart and soul closer to God. Some of the stories are jaw dropping while others are heart breaking, but you don’t miss triumph in each one. When I first started this book I found several of what I would call editing issues. But it was my error in judging so fast, the stories come from all over the and the author left each one in this state so as not to edit what the writers said in any way. Once you understand that; you realize you are left with the raw truth as told by the writers. You are reading the open heart of men and women. The blessing here readers is an opportunity for you to heal through their story.
One story titled “Positivity Inspires” moved my soul this letter is exploding with energy coming directly from the author another “I felt the touch of God” reminds me of my relationship with God. The author talks about doing for others and in doing so she felt the touch of God. Author Mulholland Jr. talks about how our relationship with God is rooted in our relationship with others. When you think of this concept you certainly can see the author of this story is on to something divine. This little book is a devotional of inspiration for everyone, not just believers but non-believers as well, because as we know the church is not only for those who are healthy.

This little book carries quite a hefty impact. Debbie Nutile has compiled 23 true stories full of inspiration and hope. Each story is heartfelt and faith filled, yet as unique as the storyteller. The positive message of hope is the common thread throughout the book.
The stories are varied in their lessons of comfort, peace, joy, love, and healing in nature. All are told from the heart, and with soul.
Debbie Hoffman Nutile is an amazing person in her own right. She is an educator, speaker and life coach. In compiling these stories, she did not want to take away from them by editing them. She has tried to preserve the story and respect the author, by telling the story as it was told to her.
