So here's the thing...

I wanted to like this because it had so much potential. The story would have been great but it lacked passion and it was rushed. I felt as if I had whiplash with how fast the story moved. If we had some build up and had Katy actually made her husband crawl on his hands and feet to beg for forgiveness, I think it would have been a different story. I don't think the guy tried hard enough to look for her when she left him. That in itself would require more than just walking into my life again and claiming me as yours. And me just taking you back. I want a man to fight for me.

The whole scene with Alexia(the second time) was over before I even realized what happened... So...yeah...

I would have loved the characters but I feel like they were too perfect and unbelievable. Reconnected could have been epic in my eyes but the abruptness of everything took away from the story.

For a light read, this will be the book for you. Don't expect it to be deep or heartfelt because you will be disappointed.

Another Kindle freebie with a lot of potential. I really believe so! I actually enjoyed and got interested reading the Prologue. I didn't expect it to be a favorite but I was still a bit disappointed how the book turned out.

It has potential. It really does!

Too bad the Prologue wasn't enough to hold my interest.

I mean, who gets back with their estranged husband after 4 years after just 1 coincidental meeting? The guy didn't even have to grovel or suffer much. It just turned out to be rushed, for a lack of better term, and just too unrealistic for my taste. Everything about it is too whirlwind, even the supporting characters. Really? Scott and Krista fell in love after their first meeting? It's not even a date. Just their first introduction. Ugh.

It can also use a good editing and proofreading. There are a lot of "would of", "could of", and "should of" it's kind of distracting.

I've read somewhere that some people say that short romance stories lack the ability to tell a true and complete story, I've also read that this book isn't realistic I've read that it doesn't make sense that she would go back to her husband after what he did but you know what #1 it does happen and #2 it's a book one person's vision shouldn't be looked at in that sort of a light. An author is brave enough to go out there and write their story and I personally enjoyed this story. As a blogger it's nice sometimes to have a straight forward love story that can be enjoyed right until the very end and that's exactly what I did in this case.

In this story we meet Katy who now goes by the name Kate. Once upon a time Katy married the man of her dreams when she was nineteen years old she knew Liam for a long time and on a whim they got eloped in Vegas. Everything was going great Liam was really into acting but one night in a theater during a performance changes their lives forever. Liam gets picked up to become a star and overnight their lives change. There's constant parties and networking and when Katy comes home one night to find her house full of people and a party in full swing with women hanging all over her husband something inside her snaps. But more than that it was her husband's attitude toward the entire thing. He just had a carefree attitude and said it came with the territory but his big mistake was not talking to her and ignoring her. So the next day Katy packs up her bags and leaves and no longer is Katy Warren wife of hollywood star Liam Warren. She changes her name and goes back to college in a small town in Georgia.

What Katy doesn't expect is to find out that Liam is coming to shoot some scenes for his new film on the beach in none other than the town she is enrolled into college at. Katy is happy with her life she has a new boyfriend, a great best friend, and her college life that is until her friend Krista tells her that Liam is coming to shoot scenes for his film there and she knows it's only a matter of time before she runs into Liam and what happens she runs right into him and so begins to unfold the events of Liam and Katy finding their way back to one another. It won't be an easy journey but Liam is determined to have his wife back in his life for good this time.

So join Katy and Liam as they find one another and journey through all that comes with being in Hollywood, love, lies, loss, jealousy, and ultimately finding yourself once again. I also like the story of Krista and Scott and hope that Bethany does decide to write their story in the future it would be interesting to see how their story turns out. I gave it four stars.

The plot was nice.. It was really nice, but the story was utterly boring.
After a few pages I just could'nt continue reading anymore. The writing was horrible.
you know the feeling you get when open a book you wrote when you were in middle school and cringe beacause of the horrible writing, how the things just jump from one to another... there was absolutely no feels in the book.
It was as bland as a book can get. Liam doesn't do anything to get her back... He just give her a bunch of flowers, shows 2 photographs and then he is just like - i have done so much for you, why can't you forgive me?
I really would never recommend this book to anyone

I really enjoyed 'Reconnected'

Katy and Liam were high school sweethearts after growing up together with mothers that are best friends. After Getting married at just 18 years old, they think they have their whole lives together to look forward to. However Liam is a very talented actor and after some convincing from Katy auditions at a local theatre, where he quickly becomes the big 'star'. After being scouted and moved to Hollywood, Liam starts to change and his Katy doesn't like the person he's becoming. After one particular 'business' party in their home, involving a lot of scantly clad 'ladies' rubbing all over her husband Katy leaves, not before giving Liam the ultimatum ( which he doesn't take seriously).

Fast-forward Four Years!

Liam is now number 1 Hollywood golden boy.

Katy, now just Kate is studying in a small town collage on the opposite side of the world to L.A. Where know one knows who she is ( or was )

Liam is Filming in her town and they run into each other. I would have like to see a little more between them before agreeing to give the marriage another go. Also more on what happened during those 4 years. Especially with Liam trying to find Kate.

I loved Kate's BF Krista. I thought she was a very fun addition to the mix, along with Scott. They make a great couple!

Without giving to much away, there is some major(!!!) drama with a certain A list actress who goes off the deep end. I was happy that Kate and Lucas were able to make up before all the chaos happened!

A quick romantic read with a little of everything; A list stars, stalkers, weddings, deaths, a baby, with just the right amount of cuteness.

" I love you too Liam", I whisper back before I can stop myself and see the surprise in his eyes before he gets an extra big smile on his face. " I didn't think I would ever hear that out of your mouth again. "

This is a short, fast paced love story with a little action mixed in with romance that reconnects 2 loves!

I am honored to have the privilege of Bethany giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Katy, is 24 years old and trying to have a good life. Seems like she is doing pretty well for herself too.. in college, has a great BFF (Krista) and a nice boyfriend as well.
However, that all changes when Krista tells Katy that Liam is coming to their town...
Katy doesn't want to know/hear/see Mr. Liam! He broke her heart 4 years ago when he chose his career over her and their marriage! ((Personally I too, would have been upset with his behavior))
But, Katy doesn't realize that Liam doesn't mean to back down this time.. he wants Katy and wants her back and will do anything to prove that to her!

It was nice to see the connection that both Liam and Katy had/have towards each other.. you can see there is a deep love between them...that was always there!

I enjoyed Krista and Scott (Liam's best friend) as well in this book! I loved that Krista was Katy's best friend and saved her in more ways than one.. and she gets to be happy too!

I enjoyed this book! It was short, lovey and just the right amount of action to keep me hooked until the very end!

That being said, I can not wait until the second book comes out! I want to be in Liam's head so bad! I have so many questions for him... why? why the hell did you allow that? what were you thinking...etc! I look forward to this book with much excitement!!!

First, I will say that this book was not like anything I have read thus far(as I am new to enjoying reading altogether..lol). Most of the books I read are steamy romances with erotic parts and detailed sex scenes or paranormal romances with shape-shifting hunks or vampires and this book had none of that! But I LOVED reading it!

The beginning of this book was fast paced and a lot happens all at once, but it is the beginning and the lingering non-divorced Kate that drew me in... She goes on to college and avoids Liam at all costs until he begins filming right where she is going to school!! Kate is a great strong woman and I loved reading about how Liam jumped over every hurdle that Kate threw at him! Watching Kate and Kris interact was sweet and heart-warming. I cried when Lucas left the story and found myself unable to stop reading! I read this book from cover to cover in 2 hours!! I recommend this book to anyone over 16 that has that hopeless romantic "happy ever after" mindset, because that was what I saw all through this story.... a hopeless romantic doing everything he could to win the love he once had back.

Liam and Katy are high school sweethearts that got married at a very young age. Then Liam gets discovered as an actor and they move to LA. That’s where it all goes downhill for their relationship. Katy has trouble with all the parties and networking. Liam wants her to get used to it all because it comes with the territory. Then one night Katy comes home to a house full of people and women hanging all over her husband and gives him an ultimatum. Get everybody out of the house or she will leave. Liam ignores her and the next morning when he is at work she packs her bags and leaves. Years later Liam comes to Georgia, where Katy goes to college, to shoot a film and they meet up again. He still loves her and he convinces her to give them another chance. Their road isn’t easy and they are faced with someone being jealous of them getting back together and even a couple attempts to kill Katy. I really liked this story and I loved the characters. The storyline is fast paced and easy to read.

OK where to start....FIRST OFF I WANT TO SAY HOW PROUD I AM that the author was BRAVE ENOUGH TO GIVE HER DREAM A SHOT!!!(more WAY MORE then I can say for most of you 1Star reviewers")This book is sweet & I've read comments that say "Who would go back to their ex???" LET ME TELL YOU IT HAPPENS A LOT IN REAL LIFE!!! So come on people! I loved the characters! I really LOVE Krista! I can't wait for Liam's POV!!! I actually live the idea of writing a book from each characters POV!! A NOTE TO THE AUTHOR & ALL THE HATERS....These big time authors First books were NOT instant HITS right out of the gate!! Some have written 20, 30, even 40 novels before they HIT Big! With each book an author gets better & better!! As far as this book I think the story is great & characters are great! I also think with each book she writes they will get better & better! I LOVE RECONNECTED & CANT WAIT FOR LIAMS POV!!!

Very cute, enjoyable read. Katy is married to sexy movie star Liam but they haven't seen each other in years. When the LA lifestyle took over, Katy couldn't take it. She left and is now in college getting her degree. Her best friend and room mate Krista, doesn't know about Katy's being married. When Liam & his costar Scott show up to do some filming, Krista finds out quickly & Katy can't seem to get away. Liam is determined to get Katy back & will stop at nothing. Meanwhile Krista & Scott seem to be hitting it off. Follow these couples through the crazy life of movie stars and their adjustment into it.

I really enjoyed this book. This is a fun and sweet read that is perfect for any book lover's summer reading list. The down-to-earth and independent protagonist immediately caught my attention, and the book kept me entertained throughout. Forget what other reviewers are saying about getting an editor, her second edition is polished and ready for your library. I only gave it four out of five stars because I felt it was a little rushed in some parts, but overall this is a very enjoyable read and I definitely recommend it, especially to book lovers who enjoy romance, a little comedy, and suspense. I'm looking forward to the author's next book!

This is a fast paced, simple to read feel good book. No complicated twists and turns, a nice easy read. Yes the writer could have gone into much more detail with the story and characters but then that would defeat the purpose of it being a feel good happy short novel. I gave it 5 stars because it's exactly what I expected.

This story was ok, but it irked me that the h went right back tot he H. Seriously she hides from he H for years and then instantly falls back into bed with the dope right away, and the whole he slept with other people was never discussed. swept right under the rug like all their other problems. I do not believe in their HEA..... nope

4.0 Star Review

I recommend this book.

This was the first book I have read from author Bethany Daniel. I like the writing style and it was a good short story. This book is written in Katy’s POV.

Katy Parker eloped to Vegas very young at 18 to her high school sweetheart Liam Warren. As Liam is acting one night in the theater he is discovered. Their lives change overnight from spending all there time together to Liam going to parties for work. After dealing with the parties and Liam having woman hanging all over him at all times during the parties. Katy decides it time to leave. She tells her husband she is leaving and he ignores her. She gets up the next morning writes him a note and she leaves him.

4 years later----

Katy Warren is now going by Kate Parker. She is attending college in Georgia and living in a dorm with her best friend Krista. She has a boy friend named Lucas and is moving on with her life. No one knows she is still married to Liam.

Krista tells Kate that Liam Warren is in town shooting scenes for his new movie. Katy will just have to avoid the shooting areas. As she is walking across the campus Liam sees her and chases her and her boyfriend. He lets the boyfriend know she is married. He also lets her know he wants her back.

Katy realizes she needs to try to give Liam a chance and she has to tell Lucas her decision. Before she can tell Lucas he catches Liam kissing her. Lucas is mad. Eventually he understands and they are friends again but that takes time. Meanwhile Liam and Katy are trying to spend time together.

But Liam’s co-star Alexia has a meltdown as she believes that Liam belongs to her. She tells Katy stories about Liam and his partying. She describes herself as his present and Katy as his past. She also causes an accident that forever changes their lives.

As the book goes on you also get a story of their best friends Krista and Scott falling in love.

Read the book to get answers to the below:
What has Alexia done to Katy?
Will Katy be able to handle life with Liam?

Ashley's 4 Star Review of Reconnected by Bethany Daniel

What a cute story about a couple who fell apart and tried to find their way back to the beginning to start again.
In the world of glitz and glam can true love survive?

This is the story of Liam and Katy, who are high school sweethearts who end up eloping at a very young age. As the time progressed and Liam was discovered by a talent agency, the very strength of their relationship was tested. Liam did not pass the test and Katy packed up and moved on with her life.

Reconnecting with Liam after 4 long years apart, without any communication, Katy thought she had outrun the love she had for him during their marriage. Oh but wait, are they still married. YUP!

Can they revive their relationship and start new even after all of the drama that caused the split is still there?

I am telling you .. I read this book in ONE sitting. It was easy to get into and I kept going, wanting even more!! There was so much suspense and where is this story going to go.

Here are a few of my thoughts while reading Reconnected:

42% - WHAT THE SH*T. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING
44% - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
58% - OH SWEET JESUS. DON'T DO IT. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
80% - MELT MY HEART!!!

All in all, 2 Chicks and a Blog give this book 4 out of 5 Hollywood Golden Boy stars.

This was an enjoyable but somewhat short story of Katy, who was in love with her husband, a theater actor named Liam Warren. When Hollywood discovered his talent, he gave into the lifestyle he thought celebrities had to have. The parties and constant parade of women draping themselves around her husband was too much for Katy and she snuck away, to live a different, more peaceful life. She re-enrolled in college and was living on campus with her best friend and dating someone new. When filming for Liam's new movie around the college campus, they are both surprised to find each other again. Liam of course wants her back, but Katy won't budge that easy. After realizing that her new boyfriend doesn't make her feel the same way as Liam does, Katy breaks up with him but they remain friends. Until the paparazzi cause an accident that injures, Katy and her best friend, and kills someone she cares about. Liam won't let her get away again, and after she is healed, he remarries her and they live happily ever after. I thought all the concepts were really good, but it moved a little too quickly for my taste, and could definitely used some editing.

I love the story but the book is too fast for me. It was easy to read and understand and I love the conflict and how the story goes.. It's just that it's too fast..

I love the characters, Katy and Warren but I also loved Luke.. I love Luke's personality, he's one of my favorites.. I also love how the author create the Alexia and how twisted her mind was.

For me, the story is all about second chances and forgiveness.. Even though how you screwed up in a relationship, as long as you love that person, you will do anything just to make her happy even though it includes you being out of his/her life and letting her decide if she/he still love you and wants to be with you again..

I really enjoyed this book.

From the time I started reading it till I finished it, I could not put it down.

It had characters that you fell in love with and wanted to see them overcome everything in their way and a story that kept you interested from beginning to end. It moved along at a very good pace.

Bethany Daniel is a talented writer and I look forward to reading more from her in the future. If someone wants a good book to read that will keep them interested from beginning to end, then this is it.

An enjoyable read.

Reconnected is a page turner of a book. For this to be the author’s first book it had a great storyline. The story had two unexpected moments that left me saying OMG. The story was very fast pace and hard to put down, but could have used a few more details in a few areas of the plot. Then I started reading Disconnected and all the details were filled in beautifully. I love having the stories from two points of view. It reminds me a lot of “Something Borrowed” and “Something Blue” by Emily Giffin. I would like to see a spin off about Krista.

This book reminded me of that Lifetime movie you watch and the actors really can't act but you watch it anyway and by the end of the movie you find out you actually liked it. Wasn't academy award worthy but you will watch again. That is how I felt about this book. I knew I was going to figure most of it out and some things did feel rush like the relationship with Scott/Kris. But I still like the book and will definitely be reading Liam's POV!!

Love this book! I was hooked from the first page! The author really made me understand Katy's side and made is o true to life. She showed her to be cautious after being hurt by the one you love without jumping immediately back in to the relationship with her husband. I don't want to give too much away and spoil it, so I will just say... Great read!!! Highly recommend!!!

I really, really enjoyed this sweet little love story. I would have liked a bit more length, detail, and back story, but for a quick afternoon read, it was just perfect. The characters were very loveable, there was just enough drama to keep the thriller lover in me entertained, and of course, the happy ending always does it for me.
