This eclectic selection of homes demonstrates all that is most wonderful about Moroccan living. Flipping through these pages of fairy tale interiors, exteriors, and details, (ideally whilst sipping a steaming cup of sweet, fragrant mint tea) you'll be instantly transported.
This book is a collection of photographs. It's all about Morocco. It is written in three languages, English, French, and German.
I found this book in a bus stop in Israel, and just couldn't put it down until I devoured all the images in the book accompanying with texts.
The introduction is amazingly well written. Perhaps it also depends on my mood while reading it. Found it in a bus stop it feels like finding water in a desert. Without any expectations, I feel the introduction is appealing. I never read any Lonely Planet introduction of Morocco, but this one definitely can be a good attractive text for readers to wonder this wunderland.
The problem of this book is those overwhelming photos. There are only titles to explain the photos, however, this is not the point. The point is photographs are less real. As a reader who never goes to Africa, needless to say Morocco, images are significant for me to judge this place. And photographs that based on reality are more valuable rather than beautiful images that lost the authentic meaning. Instead of attract me to this exotic world, those images pushed me away.
It is not a photograph collection only for landscapes, however, there is only one human face reflected in the mirror from one of photographs. I feel something are missing, and as a reader, my vision is smoked.
I spotted this one in a box on the sidewalk. The first thing I saw when I opened its pages was a two-page spread of tree goats; I knew I'd found me a keeper. :)
Photobook with an abundant amount of photo's from both interior and exterioir scene in Moroccan dwellings. Great for anyone who loves the African/Eastern style of architecture and furnishing.
This is a stunning book with many ideas for creating a Moroccan ambience in the home or garden. The photos are gorgeous. Instructions for some simple Moroccan elements are included.
