He has worked as a graphic designer, an engineer, a T-shirt printer, a sign-maker, a customer service advisor for a television company, at a local newspaper, in a factory making replica roman coins, in another factory specialising in handmade industrial rubber goods, and is now a typesetter within the training industry.
He didn’t get the job of making authentic replica WWII flight jackets, which he still thinks would have been pretty darn cool.
Leyland lives in Devon with his wife, son and a menagerie comprising largely of frogs.

A cute book about road safety, though the actual "code" seems a bit long to remember in practice. Also, while "Stop, look, and listen" is built into it, the poem adds that "if there's nothing that you can see or can hear, then hop right across—you have nothing to fear!"... isn't really true. Some electric cars have worried me since they're a LOT quiet, and also speeding cars can come on a bit too quickly if you're not careful.
(Then again, by that point, you may as well not fear, since at certain speeds you won't have time for it...)
A good teaching tool for younger readers learning to cross the street, all the same!
