V Záchranné zoo strýčka Horáce mají důvod k oslavě. Narodilo se tam žirafí mládě! Jmenuje se Kubík a jeho nemotorná kolébavá chůze na dlouhých nohách rozesmává všechny okolo. Kubíkovi se pozornost ostatních líbí, a tak předvádí jeden praštěný kousek za druhým. Blíží se však soutěž o nejlepší zoologickou zahradu a Ema tuší, že jeho rošťárny se nemusí líbit každému. My littlest sister (she's six) picked this book out at the library. She's recently fallen in love with the cute animals on cover, young girl with vet parents genre of shorter chapter books and I must say - I love this phase! I read this one to her and it was pretty good. I assume it's one of those series where every book is the same sort of premise expect replace red fairy with green fairy or giraffe with panda but I'm not complaining. I used to love those sort of series myself and seeing my sister get as excited as me about going to the library, looking through the shelves, admiring covers, getting me to read descriptions so she can decide if she's interested or not, finding authors and series she particularly likes and asking me about what I'm reading (apparently regency romance sounds boring, haha) is the best thing ever.

I started reading this book in the book shop Waterstones, just before Christmas. I couldn't put it down I was loving it so much.

I got this book and 2 others on Christmas Day.

I really loved the Giggly Giraffe because Zoe and the giraffe made giraffe banana and chocolate button ice creams in the book.

I liked that the Giraffe was called Jamie like my uncle! The giraffe didn’t behave very well!
