White Australia has long between misunderstood as a "racist" program designed to keep Australia White out of a deep prejudice against the people of colour surrounding the continent of Australia. Kevin McCauley is the lucky husband of an incredible wife, and the awestruck father of two beautiful daughters. He currently lives in Wilmington, NC, where he works a full-time job during the day, and volunteers as a bedtime story reader at night for his family.

Like many parents who have read a children's book and said, "I can write this", he too felt like he could write the perfect children's book. Willing to test this theory, he sat down on several occasions to write that perfect children's book. He had several false starts, then successes, leading only to dead ends. It turned out that there was more to a good children's book than funny phrases and fuzzy creatures. No matter how few the words, there had to be a message. Humbled by the experience, he put away his pad and pen, and returned to his daily activities.

Then, one night, it came to him. As an avid outdoorsman, he should have seen that the book he wanted to write was all around him. Within a few days, the story was created, and with the help of a talented illustrator, a few months later, his first book came to life. "Grow, It Did, Grow" is a story that can be enjoyed by parents and children alike. It's one that this author would be honored to have in your children's book rotation.
