It turned out that there was more to a good children's book than funny phrases and fuzzy creatures. No matter how few the words, there had to be a message. Humbled by the experience, he put away his pad and pen, and returned to his daily activities.
Then, one night, it came to him. As an avid outdoorsman, he should have seen that the book he wanted to write was all around him. Within a few days, the story was created, and with the help of a talented illustrator, a few months later, his first book came to life.
