Amazing biography of one of the most famous muck rackers of all time Upton Sinclair. Leon Harris, the biographer appreciated Upton Sinclair as having much more literary credibility than college professors of the day (i.e. 1970s) gave SINCLAIR credit for, because Upton Sinclair's novels tended to be written in a more popular rather than literary style. In other words his books were meant to be read by the masses and they were. He is most famously remembered for writing The Jungle a muckracking novel about the abuses of the meat packing industry. Upton Sinclair had such a beautiful soul the final paragraph of this 356 page biography made me shake with emotion and cry. He did not deserve to be instantly forgotten in American history, or to be surpassed in memory by so many inferior writers, however his work lives on among his fans and this biography captures everything amazing about Upton Sinclair (1878-1968). Excellent, superb work by Leon Harris.
