When Evil Changes Face (Brett Higgins Motor City thrillers #4) by Therese Szymanski, word of advice read the first three books first, since I failed to do that I learned by way of backstory much of what happens in the first few books and I think I would have rather read the stories than be told about them by way of character development. I read this because I was looking for a good crime noir thinking having a female undercover detective in a school setting a interesting new twist. It was and the story itself wasn't bad. I gave it three stars due in part because the situation was somewhat too far out of the normal bounds of probability. (Expect any undercover operation to meet more legal requirement, but it's a crime fantasy and one needs to make allowances for artistic license) still take a star away for dubious situational believability and it's a three star read. Some good lesbian love drama and the ending wasn't that bad so overall a pretty good but somewhat ordinary crime drama with more emphasis on sex than on crime but good enough that I think I might go back and start to read those first three books. Three stars.
