Another book about exploration and adventure. This is another look at what the explores of the South Pole encountered, written from the point of view of the man more or less incharge of the the primary means of land travel they used, Dogs pulling sleds. While most of it written in a lighthearted almost funny way, he also addresses some of the more gruesome things they had to do in order to survive.
I was fascinated by the accounts of their expedition to explore the South Pole. Admiral Byrd even named a Mountain after Norman, Mt Vaughan. I was swept away to anothera time and place!
