I loved this book as a teenager and bought myself a copy just for old-times' sake. Heh. The writing is pretty old-fashioned and a bit preachy, but it's still a fun read.

Not my normal fare, this period romance surrounding the teachings of Christ through a shanghaied Parisian girl in Louisiana during the 1700s was, for me, remarkably enjoyable, if not a bit too sentimental, at times. Seek the truth. Wrestle with the truth. Accept the truth.
