One thing stands between us and survival. A psycho super rabid bent on killing us all.

The world fell apart after the virus killed billions, turning most male survivors into violent monsters. Then I met Mace and he changed everything I thought I knew about wolfmen. Mace is my mate. And I’m his.

Unfortunately the new psycho rabid wants to destroy Mace’s pack with extreme prejudice. Our defenses are damaged and supplies are running low. Mace is going to have to reach out to other packs to hunt down and eliminate this new threat.

Wolfmen. Working together. What’s the world coming to? Maybe the dawn of a new kind of civilization. A new beginning. One thing’s for sure. Things are going to get a lot uglier before they get better.

If we survive at all…

I absolutely fell in love with this bloodthirsty post apocalyptic series. Okay the REALLY HOT Wolfmen had a large part to play in the attraction but the world building was equally as good! This whole series was exciting to read and unputdownable and each book got better and better. I would definitely recommend it. Who knows what I'm headed for next - Zombies?!

This series kicks ass. I hope this is not the last book.

This review was originally written for The Romance Reviews and can also be found there.

Violence, hot and rushed sex, fights for dominance and pack mentality, yes, it's another book in the Wolfmen series with Daniel getting into his own and Mace grinning more than he did in all the other books combined.

This time round, the rabids are on the rampage and a serious threat to not only Mace's pack but to all the other as well, including the compound where Daniel's mother still has the last word. The whole pack is trying to survive the best they can and secure their home against an attack. But it's obvious that just one pack can't handle the situation because Psycho – the main bad guy, has an unlimited access to all the wandering rabids around and when a wolfman is scared he submits.

Trying to do what's best and thinking about the future, Mace approaches the other packs and organizes an attack to solve their mutual problem while leaving the connections open for a future possible trade.

I honestly loved this sequel as much as I did all the rest. Daniel was much more respected in this one and his brain worked better against the threats leaving him with minimum injury – yes that is surprising for anyone following the series. Mace showed a whole different face to him where he was secure in his dominance and where he was comfortable enough with Daniel as his mate not to see every little transgression as a challenge. It was refreshing as well as interesting because through all that violence and blood, the guys were true romantics.

Maybe I'm just seeing the sweetness in the gore, but with each book I read I feel closer to the couple and fall a bit more in love with the amazing world Brannan Black had created. This is the type of writing I like the most, without sugarcoating and with pure rawness at every step. I do hope we get more.

1/23/14 A fantastic end to a terrific series!

11/21/11I am so sad, I truly think that this might be the last book in this series. I have to say, if it is, I am pleased with the way it ended. This is an excellent series.

This entry to the series gave some hope post apocalypse despite the bloody skirmishes and death all around.

Daniel tied-in his "mating ritual" with Mace, the promising start of reaching out and develop communication to other packs and human compound also wrapped in a, typically, rather messy way. Chewed bloody organs, anyone?

I have to say I hate to see no more books on this series released. I guess I should look for my gory-filled and hawt smexy fill on other books/series. ;)

Brannan Black delivers a stellar installment in the next Wolfman series with GENESIS. This picks up right after WOLFMAN 4: SALVATION. The writing is fast and tight, the action is knocked up to warp speed and the connection between the two heroes is still tight and sexy. I absolutely loved how the characters continue to grow with each book. The author does a wonderful job in keeping the core characteristics for the main players and continues to show their vulnerabilities as well as play on their strengths. This is an author who really knows her characters inside and out which delights me no end each time I pick up one of this author’s books. Brannan Black lets the story and characters shine in ways that appeal to me…even with blood, sex and lots of action thrown in the mix.

WOLFMAN GENESIS picks up with no problem, unless you haven’t read SALVATION yet. Then you might be a bit confused. I highly recommend reading this series in order as each book capitalizes on the past one. Daniel is still a smart ass which made me extremely happy since his snarky comments had me giggling at times and other times, wondering if he was even going to survive to see the light of day. Mace is still sizzling hot, more so now that he and Daniel are mated. The connection between these two is very strong by this fifth book and I loved how both learned to work with each other, even as Daniel let Mace be all alpha on him in front of the pack. The secondary characters really shine-familiar ones as well as new characters making their debut. The dynamics between all the characters was interesting and I can just imagine all the work it took to keep them all straight.

WOLFMAN GENESIS is a fast action thrill ride that will leave you breathless in the end. Brannan Black keeps the reader glued to the edge of their seat with this latest installment and I was hard pressed to put it down. I am hoping the author returns to Mace, Daniel and all their friends/allies in the future. Would love to see how they are doing and maybe see if Mace hasn’t killed Daniel yet-either by loving him to exhaustion or smacking him around because of his smart mouth.

If you enjoy a story that will leave you on teeter hooks and at the same time, squirming in your seat, then grab the Wolfman series and settle in for some reading enjoyment.

Whole series impressed me with the set up. I liked the serial feel of the short stories that followed directly after each other like episodes.

Loved the wolfs, the plot, the bad guys, the pack policies, the SEX, the action, the mum.

Its not the worlds greatest literary master piece, what it is - is damn fun.

I have enjoyed all 5 books so I am rating the entire series 5.

This is the final book and one of the main reasons I decided to rate each book 5 stars each. I cannot count the amount of times I have liked a series but after a few books the author wrecks it by writing a few crap books or rushing sequels.

This 5 short stories has an obvious overall plot and the author doesnt get sidetracked or go off on weird tangents. This series has been one of the more light hearted and fun I have read in ages and I plain enjoyed it :)

Fifth installment in one of my favourite m/m shifter series which is set in a violent and dark post apocalyptic world. Mace and Daniel are strong since their mating and the pack now looks to Daniel for guidance as well. Although I really enjoyed it, this book has a 'rushed' feel which I can't really explain. It reads like the last in the series but there are still many questions unanswered so I'm not sure. I would like to know more about RK and Lindsay/Hawk and also it's not certain that Psycho has been killed. It's frustrating because the author's website and blog aren't very informative. This series must be read in order starting with Apocalypse.

This fifth part of Wolfman series gave me the impression it was last one. I truly enjoyed this created world with plague and changing of human kind. It was well written series.
Mace and Daniel were hot and amazing characters. I liked them both. They were hot together. Overall, this plague plot was great, characters interesting and pulling, and sex simply smoking hot. Definitely recommended series to every m/m lovers.

I severely disliked the 1st book, but had to keep reading to know what happened to Daniel. Hated Mace with a passion and only started warming up to him from the 3rd book. By this last book I was crazy about the whole Wolfman pack, lol...

This new world started out violent and so frustrating. With that whole wolf mentality and submission...gosh, I would have been a second Daniel...I would have chosen death over submitting in these circumstances!!!! I loved Sylvia's strong personality, but she sure wasn't my favourite person...it grated on my nerves the way everyone treated Daniel...

But in the end everything worked out, and they are carving out a new world and learning to work together. The love story between Daniel and Mace takes you on a road full of hurt and misunderstandings...but the way they make love and love each other is so beuatiful...In the end, in my humble opinion, Mace has earned the right to Daniel's heart.

Great end to a very good series...although I would have loved to know more about quiet Hawk, and the trio: Ice, Winter and their China.

Most of the time, I'm too lazy to write review. But after finishing this series, I saw it was necessary for me to tell how awesome this series of 5 books is.

You must be aware that there is a lot of violence in the plot, and the MC is the one that receive most of it. The book is writen in first person, and everything in the whole lenght series is seen from Daniel's POV.

Must of the reviews in here will tell you what the plot is about, but I will tell you that every single book will get you into the story so much that you will want to finish before going to sleep. And even then, you will want to start the next one, because you won't be able to sleep in peace, because every book end in a cliffhanger...

Overall, it is an amazing series that will leave you with that hole in your chest you always feel, when you finish an amazing series where you love the MC. So.... give it a try, you won't regret it :)

After closing the last virtual electronic page in Genesis, I got the feeling that this is the last book in the series. I hope not, but there was a lot of loose ends cleaned-up and all of the characters seemed to be on steady ground, ready to continue their lives, without us. Of the five books I would say that this is my favorite. The pace is somewhat faster and since character development had taken place in the previous books, the focus in Genesis was on the story.
As I've said in some of my reviews on this series, I wish the books were longer and more time and effort would have been put into world building. What we are given is nice, but I would have liked to have seen more.
I give Genesis three stars.

The action never stops in this series. Between the developments of the main romance and the expansion of the society involved, this series is an absolute page turner. Definately not a series to start if you've got things that need to be done because those tasks will have to wait until you've finished what's available in the series. I just wish these stories were longer or there were more of them. If I knew of a mystical writing juice, I'd Fedex Brannan Black a case of it.

Can't wait to read more about how the society develops (as well as everything else).
