I picked up this book as a free Kindle read, and ended up buying the paperback just so I would have it in my house. This 'children's book' is something an entire family would enjoy. I haven't picked up a book that touched my heart as deeply as this book did, and there's so much 'real' humor in it. I was skeptical because of the cover but then when I read it, I understand the significance of it. Amazing story! The Shack, Merry and a Cat Named Cha-moan is a great book to purchase for the holidays.

I purchased this in paperback for my sixth-grader but wound up reading it myself as well. This is a very positive, heart-warming story for any age. It seems as if most of what is published anymore is violent, apocalyptic, or at a minimum has a protagonist who is either really messed up, or has lost a parent, etc. Finally, a group of young people who are normal, energetic and helpful! This story proves that goodness can also be interesting.

The Shack, Merry and A Cat Named Cha-moan is a magical tale which takes you back to the innocence of your childhood. Terri Marie has managed to conjure up a whole different magical concept and has brought, to both children and adults, a book that is hard to put down. The storyline had me hooked with the suspense of how it would end and took me on an amazing adventure. It is difficult to write a book that appeals to all ages in a way that children can comprehend. Terri Marie has achieved this with ease. A must read for anyone who wants a break from reality or just fancies a little bit of magic.

I am what you might call a slow reader. Even the most interesting of books sometimes takes weeks to read. Therefore, it surprised me that I read this book in one sitting. It was such a great story, with a somewhat unusual premise, that I couldn't put it down. The kids in this book reminded me of my gang when I was growing up. It was so well-written and entertaining I didn't want it to end. My wife and grandchildren insist on reading it next, and I am certain they will enjoy it as much as I did. If you are looking for for a novel that all family members will cherish, this book is for you.

This was a book geared towards the younger reader, however, I found it to be delightful. A frolic through normal life as kids, "The Gang" soon discovers the magical and mysterious shack, which is their "meeting place". This book, although corny at times, teaches the young reader to do the right thing and always hold onto their "treasures".

I really didn't know what to expect from this little book, but I'm so glad I got it. I suppose you could say it's a "kid's book", but adults will like it, too. It's a story about a "gang" of kids, who learn a lesson in having good hearts and making treasured memories.

What a fun book! I loved it and so did both of my teen boys. I loved the Gang they were funny, entertaining, and reminded me of the little rascals in a way. This book is a great read. Wonderful haunted house and freaky cat scenes.
