I can't believe I read this. I was looking for something with a Marine in it and I found this. I've always sort of shied away from books about Marines because I KNEW it would bug me if things weren't accurately portrayed. In the beginning of this book was the only part where his being a Marine actually played a part in it, and I must have gritted my teeth 10 times before I got through it. I even started highlighting things in the text that were inaccurate. Stuff like people calling the Marines "soldier." Ugh, Soldiers are in the Army, Marines are Marines. I would never walk into a bar full of Marines and call one of them soldier. You're asking for trouble. A couple more things that bothered me, and then I'll stop because this is just a book but it annoys me! Sorry. If a Marine EVER gave E to a girl in a bar and then readily admitted it in front of a Staff Sergeant no less, they would have hauled him out of there so fast. He would most likely lose his career as a Marine for something like that. Another thing Marines aren't allowed to wear their cammies in public. My husband has to change clothes before coming home if he knows he is not coming straight home, for example if he has to stop and get gas, he has to make sure he is in civilian clothes. Marines would not be lounging around a bar in their cammies. And IF they were, they would not be taking their blouse off. No way would he be in public in only half his uniform! Marines are so strict about these kinds of things. Oh yeah, and they guys wouldn't be calling each other by their first names. They call each other by their last names. I don't even know some of my husbands fellow Marines first names, because I've never heard it leave his mouth.
OK sorry, the part where he was in the bar was probably a chapter or 2 at the most, but I had to get that out. It bothered me so much. That is the whole reason I've never picked up a novel about Marine. Because I knew I would pick it apart like that. It kind of overshadowed the rest of the book for me. Seriously, I don't even remember much about the rest of the book, the only parts that stand out, is the beginning. So I'm sorry to people who read this review, it's probably not fair as far as the story goes, so maybe you should just pass on by my review and ignore it. Because the parts you would be reading the book for I haven't even mentioned.
One thing I do remember, I hate it that these two were newly made step brother and sister. They barely knew each other, and then after spending one night together, they have decided it was a forever thing. They were in love and were talking about forever. *rolls eyes* Whatever.
Another hot ringer by Terry Towers. Who doesn't love an alpha male in the body of a sexy Marine? I certainly do! Now add a beautiful woman who just happens to be that sexy Marine's...step-sister??? Yes, that slightly taboo element adds so much heat to this erotic quickie! I loved it! Get it! Read it! It's a panty drencher ;-)

⭐️⭐️ It’s a short erotic story, but it felt too short, and we didn’t get much context about the relationship between the characters, so it didn’t fully work for me.
This was barely taboo. I'm not even sure if it qualifies. But ultimately it doesn't matter because it was a decent short, smexy story. Nate met Evelyn at their parents' wedding just a few months ago, so they're technically step-siblings. Eve's boyfriend just dumped her for another woman, and she's decided to drown her sorrows at a Marine bar. Unfortunately, one of them slipped her some E in her drink, so she's stripping on the table when Nate finds her. He takes her home, and after he diminishes the effects of the E (not sure if his method would really work, but it did in the story), they go to sleep separately. But Eve doesn't want that, so she puts a plan into action.
The biggest problem I had with this was the lack of condom or even a discussion about birth control. They just went at it (after an appropriate period of Nate resisting due to the drug effects). If they'd even had the superficial "I want to ride you bare" "I'm on the pill" conversation, it would be different, but nothing. Just seemed a little irresponsible.
Minor word usage issues, but pretty decent for a cheapie.
I was entertained but not thoroughly engaged. Admittedly, it's hard to have great character development in a short story. I still stand by the fact that if I don't care about the characters, I don't care what happens to them. And simply being "horny" is not compelling enough of a character trait to keep me invested.
Eve breaks up with her fiance Mark and goes to a Marine bar to forget. There is Nate her step brother and he happens to be there. After a little manipulation Eve and Nate end up having sex. There is nothing to say about it.
Warning: This book contains graphic language and sexual content that some may find offensive. Intended for adults ages 18+. Who doesn't love an alpha male in the body of a sexy Marine? Hot and short. This was great.. he was trying so hard to play the gentleman but what Evey wants Evey gets.
It was... not okay... I knew it was a short erotica and I've read several books from Miss Terry and I love them, but this one, the love scenes, I felt nothing. It wasn't arousing, it was flat, it was boring. I was disappointed coz I love stories like this...
Eve and Nate...who is a Marine... YES... This was great.. he was trying so hard to play the gentleman but what Evey wants Evey gets I guess.... teeheehee
I loved it even though it's a bit annoying because the sister, Eve, is pushing Nate. Have a little dignity, girl. So far one of enjoyable book from Terry Towers I've ever read.
