This hilarious book is about one woman's search in southern Missouri for a pig - not just your normal pig, but a special pottery pig that is worth thousands of dollars. Pretending to be someone other than who she is, she tries to find the right pig --- and finds plenty of others along the way, as well as some interesting species of males as well. Unfortunately, the man she finds herself most attracted to just happens to also be her rival in trying to find the pig, so she is in a quandary. The story is full of laughs and ups and downs as she tries to find her pig, keep her identity intact, and fight her attraction to the wrong man. Not all of these things are met with success, but she is satisfied by the end of the story.
This is a cute romance about a pig. Well a pottery pig anyway. Oh yeah and a piglet too. Del Montgomery works for an auction house that just got a tip about a missing pottery pig worth 6 figures. The boss sends Del to her hometown searching for said pig. Of course, Del immediately meets Sam Samson, the local auctioneer in serious need of money. Many junk shops later, Del has purchased a few dozen pigs (it's her cover story after all) and fall in love with Sam and purchased the cutest little runt piglet.
Like I said a cute story that does touch the heart strings a few times. My only issue is the cover. It really should be a pig eating ice cream (or donuts).
Never read anything by this author but,I will now.The story was a light hearted book about a couple of auctioneers, trying to out smart each other. it was very entertaining and a few laugh out load lines in it.I enjoyed it quite alot!!Very good book.
Meh (as my daughter would say) To be honest, I only read to page 127 & haven't finished this book yet.....in the meantime, I've read several Janet Ivanovich books (OMG love her!)
