Always You is a contemporary romance—the first book of the series. Recommended for 18+ Explicit sexual content, and profanity.
If I could give 0 stars I would. but I cannot so I give it 1.
This book is classic soap-opera type drama rife with stupid characters and a heroine who most people would love to know calls the H out on his shit but (imo) is a doormat.
Due to a misunderstanding h and H don't get married. He is resentful. But is is also a ho. He is engaged when they meet again. this book has secret baby trope . She has been with 3 people. he has been with everyone. There is OW drama in the sense that there are multiple women who want him. . But don't worry they meant nothing.
🟥Safety-Squad information🚨 Anyways there is definitely OW drama in this. We see an on-page scene with him and his fiancé right before they break up. Like all kinds of details There is also on-page OM scene. 2 of them. One right after the fiancé one with the H.
She was stupid in my opinion. All he did was make bi and loud proclamations and kept touching her when she was mad. She "melted" each time. She was ready to trust this man who once before trusted his mom (when she said that the h had abandoned him on this wedding day) knowing that she hated the h and had a vendetta against her. He did not know why until the end. But here's the gem I couldn't sit with:
She’s mine, my boy, my family. I’m going to fight to get them back. To win her heart. Angel, baby! I’m coming for you; I’m taking what’s mine. I don’t fucking share.
This he says right after the detailed scene with the OW/new-fiance. He doesn't f her but he ☝🏼 her and she sucks his 🍆.
Don't fall for the cover. It promises a light-hearted, star-crossed lovers story. This is not it. IMO she was too quick to trust his word when he said he wouldn't leave when he asked to be introduced to his son.

i was so close to dnf’ing this several times, but i kept going just to see how it ended. i can’t even with this story, it all felt so far fetched. the constant use of the nickname angel made me want to hit someone, and the book was filled with mistakes like “your” instead of “you’re”. needed a good editing, that’s for sure!
unfortunately this was more of a soap opera.... I liked it a bit until the big reveal of what his mother had done . Also how is it possible for someone to believe his mother over the love of his life, his soulmate??? If they were teenagers, it might have made more sense.
And the new - soon to be ex- girlfriend participating in his mother's schemes?? I thought it was a bit too far fetched.
I liked the kid though, and it was a good depiction of that age.

Oof, this really read like a first novel. We can start with the dialogue. It's so exaggerated and reads like a soap opera script with a plethora of 'bro" thrown into every line when the male characters are speaking to each other. The amount of times that an exclamation point is used, or the speech is described as some form of yelling was just way too much. People don't speak like that. Not everything is that animated.
Then we move our focus to the characters themselves. Dom is so possessive that it was instant ick. He's possessive over Mila while actively engaged to another woman. He cheats on other woman with Mila (dubious consent when he corners Mila near a restaurant bathroom and mauls her to the point of leaving a hickey.) Mila turns him down, because he's an asshole and still engaged to another woman so he runs over to the woman's house and fingers her and gets a blow job while thinking about Mila. Dom is not a good dude. But let's not put all the blame on him, Mila is just as grossly toxic. Her jealousy over any woman that makes any kind of contact with Dom is so devastatingly obnoxious. You took him back without any real groveling or proving that he's not a sack of shit, do you really have the right to be jealous? By the way, Dante, the son, is so fucking annoying.
Also, this is basically a horror story of a couple trying to survive against a "Boy Mom." And they aren't doing well at it. This was just not good. I'd like to think there's potential in the author's writing, but it doesn't show with this book.
I saw the add on TikTok. I love second chance romance so this seemed right up my street.
The plot is a good one but very poorly executed. The story flits from one scene to another with random additions of walks down memory lane. On top of that, there’s the additions to scenes that don’t make sense, such as one minute he’s throwing a punch, the next he’s sipping water! It makes you feel like you missed a paragraph but unfortunately happens alot. The authors use of language doesn’t work for the style of writing either, she adds in clever phrases or words that don’t work. It’s a contemporary romance not a Dickens literary piece. It just doesn’t flow.
I don’t get why the brother lied for 5 years either. And yet, Blame the MMC for it. Makes no sense. Even when he questions it? They lied years later. But it’s not their fault and suddenly all is forgiven like wtf, how does that work? And Samantha, supposedly high maintenance , doesn’t really come across as high maintenance. She eats what he wants such as Chinese, wears his T-shirts to bed, didn’t put up a fuss when rejected, or when he doesn’t want to spend the night. So far, the only thing I can see is that she’s a bit girly, dizzy in love and wants to start a family.
I got 30% and just couldn’t read any more. It’s a good idea but poorly executed.
The author really needs to revisit what it means to be an adult—or to be in love. The characters come across as brainless, with no real sense of right or wrong. They claim to love someone, yet behave in contradictory and shallow ways. Both the hero and heroine are utterly unlikeable, acting more like confused teenagers than people in their twenties. The entire situation is ridiculous: each believes the other abandoned them, but how does that even make sense? The heroine supposedly never thought to show up for the funeral—were there no announcements, no confirmations? And as for the hero, he gave up far too easily just believed his mother and done
Always You was a great second chance romance book. I loved the story and the characters. Great grovel from the hero Dominic. Myla was an awesome character too. I tip my hat off to this author for writing a female heroine that didn’t wait around pining for the hero. I liked that Myla had experiences with other men. One thing I can’t stand in romance is a doormat that saves herself while the guy gets a lot of action, so this was perfect for me. I loved Sophie and I hope she gets a book. Some grammatical errors but nothing that made it unreadable. I will definitely recommend this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I liked the overall premise of this book. But this book has absolutely EVERYTHING in a book that I HATE! -BBS starts in chapter 5. -ZERO communication - Not a word was said between the 2 mains once they rediscovered each other. MMC immediately has the "you're mine" mentality all while having his own fiance that he is actively f***ing. -WEAK, push over FMC. -WEAK, gullible MMC. -MMC turns to alcohol in times of stress and whines like a baby instead of fighting back. -MMC doesn't stand up against his mother or OW EVER. NEVER once puts them in their place. -Instead of fighting back against all the drama MMC just prepares to say goodbye. Then begs for forgiveness but doesn't actually do anything to earn it. -I encountered SEVERAL eye roll moments during this book. -MMC even becomes a martyr in the end for a minute-my #1 hated trait in a book.
This couple deserves each other. They both are incredibly immature. They both believe everything EVERYONE else says. Even though it's obvious they are obsessed with each other and MMC says repeatedly he didn't love his ex, FMC immediately believes they are back together. In the beginning, MMC's mom lies about FMC leaving him because he is a burden even knowing that his mom NEVER liked FMC and it doesn't make sense since they were so in love , but mom is right. Ok... Just dumb. Between constantly lying/keeping secrets from each other and lack of communication, it's no wonder they struggled. 🙄

POSSIBLE SPOILERS: I was so disappointed in this book, the story could of given so much and it honestly felt like it hit the mark by a lot.
Mila was so confusing, miscommunication was all through the book, usually i’m good at understanding why miscommunication happens but she legit NEVER questioned anything anyone said about Dominic and he just was so scared to loose her he kept things from her.
Also the main part of the storyline i didn’t understand WHY DID SHE LEAVE HER DYING BOYFRIEND SHE LOVED SO MUCH, it was never explained or told only she moved in with family ALSO HOW COULD HE NOT FIND HER …
I don’t get all the nicknames and why everytime someone spoke they mentioned who they spoke to name multiple times and the dirty talk using pet names multiple times ““That’s it, baby, keep going don’t stop. Oh, baby, just like that,”
Unfortunately this book wasn’t it for me sadly, I wish it was as i would of liked to read more of the side characters stories

I blame TikTok for this one , OMG what in the wattpad is happening in this book ?!!? First of all , what’s going on with writing ? There are mistakes all over the place , also it feels , for lack of other adjectives, jumpy and weird , and don’t get me started on the conversations , they are so unnatural, “angel” this and “angel” that , “pretty girl” here and “pretty girl” there , I kept rolling my eyes the entire time. Secondly, the plot twist simply made no sense , you believe the love of your life is dying so naturally you leave (!!!???!!!) then you start calling his family , they don’t answer you and that’s it you bury him in your mind and continue with your life having his child and all (??!!??!!) please make it make sense.
Omg, the grammar makes me want to stick pins in my eyeballs. The dialogue is full of twenty dollar words that you'd only expect out of a historical romance or college professor's mouth, yet the prose is full of misplaced commas and formatting errors. It's impossible to get engrossed into what otherwise seems like an enticing storm. I can't even tell you how much I skimmed over/skipped because it was a repeat of the same conversation a thousand times. I think the most telling part is that the blurb says edited, like the author knew it needed to be revisited. If you paid for that, you need a refund.
One of the worst books that I ever read. I was so close on DNFing this book, but still read it cos its the first book that I’ve read from this author and I’ve tried giving her and this book a chance, but now I don’t even know if I’ll read any book of her because of how many errors and dull moments this book have. It’s so frustrating to read, annoying how cringey and stupid the two main characters are. Cringing every damn time on how they talk and act towards each other and to every other characters of this book. Overall, this book is a waste of my time and It wont give you excitement and happiness.

Giving it 1 star bc it won't let me leave 0. This was a big ole DNF for me. Made it about halfway and tried to hang in there, but it was awful. There were so many grammatical errors that it was distracting and irritating. The language used was also bizarre--- like " I viewed her" instead of "I saw her". In addition to those issues, it was repetitive AF. Like the FMC and MMC had the same conversation 100 times. The writing was poor and I couldn't connect to the plot or characters whatsoever.
I hate leaving bad reviews but this wasn’t just a book I didn’t like. The entire time I felt like it was fan fic that was never ending. All the issues kept piling up that were so simple fixes with communication. The grammar was off the spelling was off. It just all felt very amateur. I refuse to dnf a book but this one came so close so many times.
This book had SO much potential. The plot is the only reason I stuck around. But the writing? The wording? Not good. Not good at all. The over use of baby and angel. Doms constant “I love you you’re my world” every other paragraph. Milas massive insecurities. Ugh so much potential gone.
DNF at 46%, this book was just not for me, and I never DNF a book. It could have been such a good plot. Second chance romance, building back trust and love, Secret child, but it just ANNOYED ME! The characters aren't relatable, and that's saying something for the books I have read. It was so repetitive.
This was a great read!! A love story, mystery. A twist also, you really don't see coming. The way Dom loves Mila is beyond powerful! I can't wait for the books about Santiago and Mark, and I'm really hoping there's one for Sophie and Liam, too.
It was cute. the storyline was obvious and the story felt rushed. The love-y doves stuff was wayyyyy over the top. There was such potential for the storyline and i kept imagining so much that didn’t happen. The author has so much potential though!
