Our collective understanding of Law of Attraction has come a long way since Jane Roberts and The Seth Material. Yet Jane’s poetry stands the test of time, reflecting her highly emotional, artistic, and visual nature as she ponders Seth’s teachings on a personal level. Illustrated with pen and ink drawings by husband Robert Butts, the volume takes us back to analog art and its 1972 publication date, yet the poetry and drawings are just as relevant today.

These conversations between the soul and mortal self vary in length and mood. They generally start out with visual observations, and then approach the realms of thought, creation (manifestation), and how to live a fulfilling life while appreciating both eternal soul and mortal body. Subjects include squirrels, trees, and weather, as well as such personal topics as an annoying phone call, and the sudden death of Jane and Rob’s cat (separate poems).

Some of my favorite poems involve Jane’s seeing beyond the ordinary beauty of nature. Because she sees energy as well as physical forms, she often perceives what is beneath appearances. She observes, for example, a puddle in a rainstorm. She sees a sort of life energy that rises up “like a porcupine of light, with the raindrops growing out of it as much as in.” Rob’s illustration of this poem is most fascinating, especially as he did not observe this phenomenon directly.

A great book for those who ponder the intersection of body and soul on planet Earth, and fans of Seth, Law of Attraction, and/or Abraham-Hicks. I've decided to hold onto my copy for awhile.

I'm not a big poetry lover, but I am reading everything Jane Roberts/Seth ever wrote that I can get my hands on, and that is why I came to acquire this book. I found most of the poems only somewhat interesting, but a couple of them were very good: autobiographical and descriptive enough that I felt I got a feel for what it was like when she wrote the 'library', or other channeled material. If you love her work as much as I do you will probably find some sections of the book worthwhile, even if you aren't a huge fan of poetry.
