شما اگه جزو افرادی هستید که شخصیتپردازی براتون در اولویت قرار داره با ولیوم دهم وینلند ساگا ارضای روحی و روانی میشید.
من همیشه فکر میکردم مانگاکاهای ژاپنی سررشتهای در شخصیتپردازی و نشون دادن عواطف و احساسات انسانی ندارن و دارن پشت سبکها و ژانرهای مختلفی که ابداع کردن ضعفهای روایت و داستانگویی خودشونو پوشش میدن، در چند وقت اخیر که شروع به خوندن بهترین آثار مصور ژاپنیها کردم متوجه شدم که در اشتباه بودم، ژاپنیها شخصیتپردازی بلدن، خوب هم بلدن، وقتی لازم باشه بدون لولآپهای مسخره میتونن قوس شخصیتی رو جوری در بیارن که مختون سوت بکشه.
توی این ولیوم ما ترکیبی از هنر داستانگویی و شخصیتپردازی از طریق تصویر و دیالوگ رو میبینیم، جناب ماکاتو یوکیمورا با نبوغی که فقط از چند نفر توی این صنعت دیدم بهم نشون داد شخصیتپردازی در مانگا یعنی چی...

Wow! This was a fantastic volume! So much amazing character growth and moments. Tense scenes and new characters introduced I'm already loving to hate.
I usually don't like all the goofy faces in manga, but the scenes with Einar and Arnheid are just perfect!
And that ending was incredible! So excited to read the next volume.

Che volume pazzesco.
L'introspezione di Thorfinn è stata potente al pari di un pugno allo stomaco, per non parlare della parte finale del volume, che ho trovato estremamente d'impatto e perfetta per segnare il momento in cui Thorfinn decide una volta per tutte di cambiare.
Davvero bella, non trovo altre parole per descriverla.
L'introspezione di Thorfinn è stata potente al pari di un pugno allo stomaco, per non parlare della parte finale del volume, che ho trovato estremamente d'impatto e perfetta per segnare il momento in cui Thorfinn decide una volta per tutte di cambiare.

Aviso: esta reseña contiene spoilers de los anteriores tomos de este apasionante y épica aventura vikinga. En Vinland Saga acompañamos a Thorfinn en un camino cargado de venganza, sangre y lágrimas para conocerse a sí mismo y encontrar su lugar el mundo.
Gracias a Einar, Thorfinn empieza a ver un mundo que era extraño para él, el de la paz. Sin embargo, sigue teniendo pesadillas que nunca logra recordar, pero que parecen contener un mensaje importante. Desafortunadamente, no hay vida sin violencia, y Einar y Thorfinn tienen cada vez más problemas con la gente del campo…
Si bien ya el anterior volumen nos introducía en la nueva vida pacífica de Thorfinn, en este vemos cómo continúa asentándose con Einar en lo que parece una situación idílica, dada su condición de esclavo. Así, ambos siguen luchando por su libertad, ahora con un ayuda extra de Sverkel, el padre de su dueño, lo que acaba por acarrearles algunos problemas con el resto de miembros de la comunidad.
A lo largo del volumen, los conflictos crecen en intensidad y secretos ocultos, tanto a los protagonistas como al lector, dándole una vuelta a lo conocido sobre los personajes de la obra. Asimismo, conocemos más profundamente a un Thorfinn atormentado, todavía cargado de demonios que debe superar.
Aunque en este tomo vemos comenzar un poco más de acción, sigue siendo un volumen relativamente tranquilo. Lo que más destaca de él es todo lo que aprendemos de los distintos personajes, es un tomo cargado de revelaciones y con un fuerte componente emocional. De esta forma, continua a moldear una serie que no es simplemente una historia de bárbaros vikingos sino que, como ya se ha demostrado, posee unos personajes muy complejos y fascinantes.

La epifanía que tiene Thorfinn en estas páginas es de aúpa. Un paso adelante en su filosofía vital que, siendo Vinland Saga un tebeo con un trasfondo épico, de luchas por el poder, batallas y complots, parece difícil de mantener.

Дуже подобається дивитися на те, як головний герой, Торфінн, проходить поступову трансформацію від месника до пацифіста. Якщо перші 8 томів були для мене ідеальним бойовиком з харизматичними персонажами та щедрим кровопролиттям, то тепер манґа розгортається зовсім інакше. Навіть цікаво чи зможе врешті "Сага" й мене переконати у необхідності відмовитися від насилля.
Також я кожен раз дивуюсь з того, що це настільки детально промальовано! Юкімура приділив увагу буквально кожній деталі, сцені та панелі! Це десь на рівні з майстерністю Джюнджі Іто, не менше🤩

Prosegue la vita da schiavo depresso di Thorfinn, affiancato da Einar.
Thorfinn è spesso preda di incubi, ma che al mattino non ricorda. Ma piano piano verranno a galla, specialmente quando dei liberi contadini invidiosi distruggeranno il loro campo. Si viene alla rissa, fortemente voluta da Einar mentre Thorfinn tenta di calmare gli animi, ma si vede che i movimenti da guerriero li ha istintivi e il suo corpo reagisce automaticamente alla minacce.
L'incubo di Thorfinn finalmente viene a galla e lui decide e sceglie di rinascere nella non violenza e di cercare di riparare in qualche modo al male fatto in passato.

بهترین ولیوم مانگا بود. ماکاتو سنسی چه در داستانگویی و چه در مصور بینظیر عمل کرد. چپتر های 70 و 71، تمام اون چیزی که تا حالا براش برنامهریزی کرده بود رو به سرانجام رسوند.

Volume 10 of Vinland Saga is one of the greatest life lessons I ever read. Giving it 5 out of 5 does not give it justice.

It is still the age of Vikings. Thorfinn’s voyage to Greece to sell narwhal tusks so he can finance an expedition to Vinland has been interrupted by war in the Baltic Sea. He’d rather skip involvement altogether, but as it happens, Thorfinn has a claim on the throne of the Jomsvikings, the most powerful raiders in the area. Thus the forces of Floki want to kill Thorfinn to advance the cause of Baldr, Floki’s grandson, while the forces of Vagn have essentially abducted Thorfinn to be the figurehead of their own political movement.
Much of the focus this time is on new character Garm. Garm’s a prodigy at spear fighting, and has a special spear that allows him to pull off some amazing feats. Unfortunately, he’s rather kill-happy, and always looking for a decent fight. This leads Garm to some bad decisions while serving Floki.
Garm’s determination to fight Thorfinn clashes badly with Thorfinn’s determination to not use violence to solve his problems. In frustration, Garm abducts several of Thorfinn’s crew to use as hostages to force Thorfinn into a confrontation. Garm doesn’t realize he’s made that much more difficult by sparking open battle between Vagn’s forces (now led by Thorkell the Tall, who switched sides) and Floki’s forces.
Meanwhile, Sigurd, Gudrid’s legal husband, bonds with Thorkell, who he sees as a hero, even though right now Sigurd is his slave.
As always, the art is top-notch, with fascinating characters. There’s dark humor and well-drawn violence. Garm’s throwdown with Thorkell is itself worth the price of admission.
Content note: In addition to the gory violence, there’s off-page rape. Thorfinn and Hild respond by helping the survivors escape. (This is huge character development for Thorfinn, who in the earliest chapters just shrugged and left the area.)
There’s a cliffhanger ending, so I’m eagerly looking forward to the next volume.
Recommended to people who liked the earlier volumes; new readers are likely to be confused and should start at the beginning.

Funny how I was just thinking that this manga needs a good ol' Dantean horror scene to properly convey its moral message, and sure enough my wish was granted a couple chapters later xD And I haven't even read Divine Comedy, to be honest, yet I still could sense that it would be the right intertext for this thing.
Nevermind, finally there's the glimpse of the darkness that was like the substantial puzzle piece I missed so far in this manga.
So the dream sequence was pretty cool. I enjoy the sheer concept behind it: a cheeky, grotesque, reversal of Valhalla. Oh, and Snarky Lad makes a comeback, like I thought he would at some point. And of course our balding Virgil sits majestically on top of a broken Roman column, as he guides Thorfinn out of the hell.
Yeah, that was all a bit predictible to me, I expected Askeladd to reappear in some introspective episode. But still I found this cameo pleasing because the way in which he is shown to exist within Thorfinn's subconsciousness confirms that indeed Askeladd was not someone Thorfinn could truly hate in the end.
The art was great. The string of dead bodies reaching for Thorfinn surely must be a Berserk reference, yay! And it's also done in a smart way. Thorfinn's struggle shall be the one of navigating life with the weight of those dead bodies clutching at his limbs. Hopefully he'll do a better job of dealing with remorse than Griffith did.
As much as I'd like to see him unberk his life, I wish I could get some Thorkell and Cnute action in the next volume, I miss the old squad.

Con éste tomo cae la decena y tenemos un segundo día consecutivo de obras imprescindibles. Sí, me atrevo a comprar Vinland Saga con la Cumbre de los Dioses, cada una en su género me parecen obras de auténtica referencia, y no tengo claro hasta dónde llegará Vinland Saga en los próximos tiempos.
El tomo que nos ocupa se centra en lo dura que era le vida del campesino, y más si ese campesino era esclavo. Así, veremos a nuestro protagonista y su amigo aprender juntos lo que hay que hacer, siempre en una hacienda dirigida por un buen hombre pero con la amenaza de fondo de la violencia.
La evolución de ese guerrero sangriento a algo distinto se completa aquí, al fin deja el vacío que le venía acompañando, y lo hace en una transformación que se siente natural.
Me parece increíble cómo un tomo de un par de esclavos que cuidan del campo me ha enganchado tanto, un ejercicio impresionante de saber hacer que mezcla el medir bien el ritmo, la excelencia en el dibujo y un desarrollo de personajes ejemplar.
Diez tomos como diez soles a sus espaldas, supongo que la calidad también se debe a que es una obra con más tiempo entre capítulo y capítulo que el shonen/seinen típico. Aquí lleva el autor 18 tomos en 13 años, algo que se nota en la calidad pero que desesperará en cuando se coja el ritmo japonés.
A comprarlo. Tal cual.

Se le vuelven a ver las costuras a esto, parece más basado en Berserk de lo que parecía en un principio. Según mis cálculos, si Thorfinn avanza hacia el pacifismo, Canuto crecerá en la dirección opuesta hasta convertirse en un asesino despiadado, que es algo parecido, y más al extremo, espero, que la obra de Miura.
Estoy encantado. Estoy aprendiendo, incluso, a cómo escribir una historia, y al mismo tiempo estoy muy triste al saber que todo lo que he escrito hasta ahora es mierda pura.
Qué manga tan maravilloso. Qué dibujo, qué perspectiva, qué guión, qué momentos. No puedo más. Necesito el doce para ya.

This slave arc is continually getting better. While I still have the rest of the series to catch up on, I can confidently say this is my favorite volume, thus far. Thorfinn has spoken much more than before. His journey of growth, and “rebirth,” as he calls it, have begun. The “dream” with Askeladd as Thorfinn is surrounded by the decaying, zombie-like corpses of people he’s killed, was so powerful. I couldn’t stop turning the pages! Will Thorfinn really move on from a life of violence? With 14 volumes left, there’s plenty of time to find out!

I loved everything in this Vol. Thorfinn's emptiness little by little is filled with small actions, Einar's friendship, Master Sverkel's words, the epiphany when he wakes up from his nightmare and the oath he decides to make later builds a perfect development character for Thorfinn.
Me ha encantado todo en este Vol. el vacío de Thorfinn poco a poco va llenándose con pequeñas acciones, la amistad de Einar, las palabras del amo Sverkel, la epifanía al despertar de su pesadilla y el juramento que decide hacer después construye un perfecto desarrollo de personaje para Thorfinn.
Me ha encantado todo en este Vol. el vacío de Thorfinn poco a poco va llenándose con pequeñas acciones, la amistad de Einar, las palabras del amo Sverkel, la epifanía al despertar de su pesadilla y el juramento que decide hacer después construye un perfecto desarrollo de personaje para Thorfinn.

Continúa la historia de Thorfinn y Einar, y la búsqueda de lo que significa ser un guerrero de verdad. En este punto es un manga en el que básicamente no hay nada de lo que enamora de la serie al principio, no hay peleas épicas, ni conspiraciones por el trono, ni conquistas vikingas, ni una historia de venganza, pero la vida de estos dos esclavos y sus luchas cotidianas están tan bien escritas, que logran ser lo suficientemente interesantes para seguir siendo uno de mis mangas favoritos.

Esto fue...Wow, primero tuvimos guerras donde la gente se matada sin ton ni son, pero ahora? tenemos la vida lejos de la ballata, en este caso a Thorffin cuya vida fue guerra y muerte por años, ahora esta sin la que fue su razon de vivir, vemos el cambio lento de el.
Este fue un tomo reflexivo, que me encanto y el sueño que tuvo... ufff fue genial.
Necesito saber como sigue.

Aunque este y el tomo anterior parezcan irrelevantes y aburridos, tengo el presentimiento de que van a ser el preludio para el clímax de este arco.
Parece que Thorfinn al fin a iniciado el camino del guerrero, su expiación.
Por cierto, gracias a Einar estoy aprendiendo sobre agricultura (sonará a mofa, pero lo digo en serio).

Tbh I don’t like Thorfinn as protagonist, don’t know exactly why. However, he has a very interesting character which the author manages to do well, either in text and images. Can’t wait to see what’s gonna be the resolution for this.
