Very dated information and old fashioned newspaper style of writing but I found it enjoyable to read of what running was like in the seventies. I googled many of the Harvard professors and doctors mentioned and most are considered now as pioneers in their respective fields.

If you want to start running this is the book to read. I read it in 1985 but my partner found it just as helpful and inspiring for her in 2005.

I enjoyed the book but not as much as his first book. Seemed to me that all of the information was still applicable.
