Blossom

Rate this book
When Blossom, a beautiful schoolgirl, meets an older, charismatic street hustler named Dude, she gets a delicious taste of the good life. Lavished with expensive jewelry, exotic getaways, and, most important, her first love, Blossom's life is transformed. But her fairy tale is quickly ended when a murder occurs -- meant for the two lovers -- and Dude's emotional pain and controlling temper cause him to change his attitude toward Blossom. Soon deceit casts a dark shadow over their relationship, and Blossom is left feeling abandoned and betrayed -- but still hopelessly in love.

A portrait of life in urban black America, Blossom takes us on the rocky journey of falling in love with a street hustler, where tomorrow is never guaranteed -- even for Blossom, a woman full of such life and promise.

This book was a powerful book I say this because Blossom teaches girls not to just be some girl that you can just walk all over. This book deals with family, friendship, love, and self-respect.

Blossom lives with her sister for all her young life after there mother is got up and just left them one day. Blossom and her sister grow a close reliaship not only together but with 5 other girls from around there way they all are like sisters. They look out for each other and they teach each other about the wrong and the right in life. Blossom is the youngest of the group so they look out for her even more. When one of the girls in the group is murdered there friendship is tested. When they find out that the girl who died was killed because of Blossom they all turn on her. Blossom was spoose to die not the other girl all the girls even her sister turned on her.

Blossom is now alone and looking for love but in the wrong places. When she meets Dude a big time drug dealer she falls in love with him. When murder comes knocking on her door again its not her family this time its his. When Dude brother is murdered Dude turnes his back on Blossom and once again she is alone and by her self. Instead of her looking for love again she gets her life on track again and goes back to school.

When Dude realize what he has done that he pushed away the only girl that he ever loved he try’s to get her back but she stands up for her self and leaves him alone because if you could leave the one you love that fist then you must don't love them that much.

I love this book because you could never tell what she was about to do it was like is she going to get back with him. What is she going to do about her family problems does she blame her self for her friends murder. What is she going to do next was the big question of the book

I loved this book...but I was disappionted because the Author leaves you hanging at the end and never finishes the story...Well its been almost 4yrs and she has not wrote the 2nd series...I gave up on this one...I think she would of done great book sales if she would of finished...

Out of the three books i have read, i would recommend this to everyone. This book is more down to earth and will capture a lot of people's attention. This book will interest you and make you want to keep on reading once you have read the first page.

When I first saw this book,
I had such High expextations for it,
But I was disappointed when I began reading it.
The storyline was so common and the Characters
didn't have that "UNF" that seperated them and made
them unique.

This book is my favorite book. I think I am it's favorite fan! This book was crazy!!!! It's like the Bluford series and it keeps you drawn to the book. When I read it, I didn't want it to end because it was such a good book and I was so entertained! I was the first to read it and I began to tell my friends and they wanted to read it! This book was AMAZING!!! It was indescribable and all I have to say is... YA GOTTA READ IT!

I was very surprised this book came from Queen Pen. Even though I love as a rapper, I must admit before buying this book I had my doubts. Boy was I wrong! Queen Pen made a believer out of me. So much that I can't wait for the 2nd part to come out...wanna know if Blossom has the baby. I just have a feeling that something bad is going to happen to Blossom.

Gotta tell you, I must have good intuitions. I can't believe I waited this long to read this book. It was truthful. Not everything works out the way you want it. I found myself hoping that the main character would realize that maybe she needed to take a step back and leave her situation. However, love can be a hard fight, even against your better instincts. The plot kept me reading and sucked me in. I was determined to finish before I slept tonight and I did and was heartbroken yet satisfied by how things worked out. There was a to be continued at the end so I'm going to check go see if there is another chapter to this story. I would recommend this book and probably lend it to a few friends for quick beach reading.

This is a True Ghetto Fairy Tale indeed. I really loved this book it had me happy, mad, surprised, and sad. ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK. I GREW ATTACHED TO THE CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK, AND ONCE I STARTED READING I HAD TO FINISH THIS BOOK. I READ THIS BOOK IN 1 DAY, AND WAS ANTICIPATING ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT TO SEE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN NEXT. This book was so real and down to earth... I think its amazing how much Blossom just changed from being naive to just being the bitch she just supposed to be. I respect her wisdom and her courage and basically this book is so hard for me to let go. I really want a sequel to this book.

WHAT I LEARNED FROM THIS BOOK IS THAT LIFE IS NOT ALWAYS EASY FOR TEENS THAT ARE YOUNG.NO A DAYS MANY TEENS ARE PUT UNDER ALOT OF PRESSURE JUST LIKE BLOSSOM WAS. WHICH SOMETIMES DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD ENDING BUT HAS A GOOD LESSON,
