the coronavirus quarantine book in child form, but with a happy ending. A neat-freak dictator self-appoints as clean-up captain for the class and passes draconian class rules that everyone hates except himself. In the end he is voted out. Something for kids to learn!
4 stars for the political message (but the story sucks)

This book manages to be a cute story AND teach about citizenship, both at the same time. Mac gets a bit over-eager as the Cleanup Captain for his class but then finally the other students begin to participate. Occasional sidebars emphasize citizenship ideas.
