Death is their business, and business is good.

Jonah is a child soldier, born amidst the chaotic conflicts that rage across West Asia, his family lost to a war fueled by weapons supplied by the so-called Merchants of Death--international arms dealers. Despite Jonah's hatred of weapons and violence, he employs both extremely well in the service of high-flying arms dealer Koko Hekmatyar and her band of mercenaries. Their journey through the dark underbelly of the world's arms markets may lead only to damnation, but will Jonah one day make his way back to the light? Only one thing is it's going to be a long, hard road out of hell...

While doing business in Southeast Asia, Koko Hekmatyar's brother, Kasper, runs into some interference from the Japanese SR counterintelligence unit. Koko and her team head to Japan to sort things out, but taking on the rogue Japanese unit on their home turf is just asking for trouble. However, Koko's man Tojo knows the ground and the opposition—he once served in the SR unit under its leader, Yosuke Hinoki, Japan's “One and Only Spymaster.” When Koko goes into action, she looks for every advantage she can find, but in this deadly game, is she the one getting played?

Koko's brother is briefly back in play. Seemed like a build up with not a pay off. Very episodic. I guess there's one episode for each of the characters? (this one being Tojo.) This one seemed quite skippable.

The team faces off against a secret unit from the Japanese self-defense force. More of the team's backstory is slowly teased. Usually, like in this volume, because they are coming back in contact with old acquaintances/contacts.
