Rate this book
Book has lengthy gift inscription to father on first page, dated April 12, 1954, that describes church connection with native Eskimo illustrator, George Aden Ahgupuk. Again, see attached photos. This is a collection of 35 stories gathered among the Eskimo of a limited area along the north coast to Seward Peninsula, centering in the village of Shishmaref. The author was the Indian Service teacher at Shismaref at that time. The illustrations were done by a famous Eskimo artist; each illustration is a full page drawing, thus furnishing an unusual collection of Ahguupuk's simple and beautiful drawings of the Eskimo country. This book is 60 plus years old!!
