Just when I thought I came to the end of yet another good series that I liked so much, I find that it's far from ending. Am I happy, excited, surprised? How about all of the above? In the third book of Boone Brux's Bringer and The Bane, we pick up where we left off in the previous book and this time see Rell, the Bane sister of Jade, find her way to her happy ending with the quiet member of the Bringers, Siban.

For many reasons, this was a more emotional book than its predecessors. We met Rell as a Bane which means her soul was surrounded by darkness, and yet we know she's kept her sister protected in the Shadow World. She had a dark, violent side which was the result of her turning Bane, and with the help of her sister she kept it at bay. If that's not a big heavy emotional baggage to carry around, I don't know what is. But ever since she first appeared, we also knew she had a side that she tried hard to keep from the darkness, the side that protected her sister, and helped free Siban from the Bane prison. It's not easy to judge the characters in these books, because though they make choices that are clearly mistakes, they try to make amends for their wrongful doings. Besides, who wants perfect anyway?
Rell's life as a demon, the secret she kept from her sister over the years, help shape the woman she becomes in the book. Right before our eyes she turns from the innocent girl who was taken from her family, to the strong woman who fights for what she cares and believes. I liked that her transformation was slow, it didn't happen in a day, it didn't happen suddenly with a flash of light, but gradually, one step at a time. She felt shame and guilt over her life as a Bane, but with the help of her sister, Siban and all the other people, she was able to overcome this and embrace her future. She was definitely a favorite character.

What do they say about the quiet ones? Oh yes, they're the worst, but I mean it in the sweetest way. Siban has been a man of few words so far, so we didn't know much about him, but with Rell's arrival, the man transformed! He's still no Luc, of course, but still, the man apparently has a tongue. Yes, he does.
He was held as a prisoner in the Shadow World, so his soul is stained with darkness also, and ever since Rell helped him escape he couldn't stop thinking about her. Talk about star crossed lovers. I loved the fact that when he first met and fell in love with Rell, she was still a demon and that changed nothing for him. As a man who lived the worst at the hands of the demons, him loving Rell with such fierceness and devotion is enough to describe the wonderful man he is. He helps, he protects, he cares and when he makes a mistake, he knows to apologize. What more can a gal ask for?

I believe this was not the last book of the series, not only because we left at such a point that my feet are dangling off the cliff and I feel the cold breeze all the way to my bones, but also because there are other characters whose mysteries are yet to be revealed, and potential couples I'm hoping will get their own stories. Remember the demon Icarus that was there as a pain in the Bringers' asses ever since the first book? The one I wouldn't be lying if I said I was dying to know the real deal of? Well, I got some of my answers, but there are still more questions. But first and foremost, we have a war waiting right around the corner and with this series easily becoming one of my favorites, I don't know how I will fare against the test of time that will take to get the rest of this story.

This is the third novel in this authors Bringer and Bane series. These books are almost set in a Medieval English world but full of demons and ancient magic. This is not really a standalone novel and I would advise reading these books in order starting with Shield of Fire.
At the tender age of thirteen Rell was snatched from the human world and taken to the shadow world where she became one of the Demon Bane. Her human body remained frozen in the shadow world whilst her essence was encased in a hideous shell but somehow a trace of her humanity lived on. Siban had been captured by the minions of the Demon King and has suffered for two years. The only thing that kept him sane was the strangely enticing Demon bane Rell. Something about her called to him and clearly it wasn't one sided as when the opportunity arose Rell aided in his escape. Nothing is straightforward in the world of the Bringers and Siban must place his own life at risk once again in order to attain his full powers. Siban survives his near death experience and now has the task of rescuing Rells trapped soul. Having found her human body and managed to reclaim it the fearsome task of truly saving her can begin. Siban may have saved her body but can he save her from herself? Loving her may have seemed easy when he faced captivity but how can he convince her that his feelings haven't changed? Rell has always known that her feelings for Siban are all encompassing but that doesn't mean she's a pushover. Rell is a strong woman and as she battles to learn control of her new Bringer abilities her training is only just beginning. About to embark on a journey into the Shadow World to find and rescue others who have been trapped their love will be severely tested. Ancient legends will play a part and deception will be uncovered. Jealousy will also cause the young couple to take stock but one things for certain for Rell her journey is not quite over yet.
This is a complicated world where demons and Bringers battle for supremacy . The easiest way to describe Bringers is to imagine humans but with magical powers and obviously Vile the Demon King and his army wish to push forward into the world outside. The Bringers are determined to protect humanity and although strong themselves the war they face is far from over. Vile the Demon King has tricks up his sleeve but in this book we start to learn more about his son Icarus, a truly fascinating character. Love the way the author teases us with his contradictions. Obviously it's a romance and Rell is a heroine for women to be proud of! Struggling to master so much so quickly whilst trying to show Sabin that her love is true is no easy task. Couple that with her questions about Icarus and his motives and you can see that Sabin is going to struggle against his own instincts . Strong instincts to cherish and protect. Luckily the author doesn't allow this book to get mushy. No far from it! This is a story full of twists and turns and a book to engage your brain. Characters to boo and hiss at as well as the ones you will want to cheer for! If you haven't read others in the series then there is an awful lot of information to process so please read in order. It's a captivating world full of passion and each book has a darned good plot.

Boone Brux is an author I didn’t know and of whom I’ve never heard about. I confess to have chosen this title for very basic reasons: the synopsis and the cover (LOL).

Chain of illusions is the third book in the Bringer and the Bane series. The two previous volumes are Shield of fire and Kiss of the betrayer. It’s a fantasy series in a medieval time full of magic, of parallel word and of shape shifters who change in mythical creatures (dragon, phoenix, …).

The action of this novel begins just in the end of the previous book. But the reader who’s discovering the series can follow the story without having read the two others. Yes, there are a lot of characters, who are present in Shield of fire and Kiss of the betrayer, among them the heroes of these two novels, but the author gives enough explanations without going into details and the reader understands quickly the ins and the outs of the main plot of the series.

The series turns around a group of warriors, the Bringers, who are enemies of those from a parallel word, the Bane. Each volume is about a main couple but each member of the group has his importance in the series, so nobody is put aside and nobody disappears strangely.
I really like this factor. Indeed, there’s nothing more frustrating that knowing the good ones are at war against the baddies and that the heroes of one volume are alone for illogical and useless reasons. Here the author succeeded in keeping the reader’s attention on the main couple, Rell and Siban, and also on the quest carried out by the group of warriors. Boone Brux made me want to read the two first volumes of the series.

Rell was kidnapped very young by the Bane and transformed into a demon. When the series begins, the Bringers were killing every demon until they realize the transformed ones could become humans again provided their soul return to their body. The big bad guy of the series had hidden the sleeping bodies in his world. This element incites the Bringers to change their tactic and their main quest is to get back their people’s bodies. Rell’s body was picked up in Kiss of the betrayer and her soul returns to it in Chain of illusions.
Siban has been prisoner of the Bane for two years and was able to escape thanks to Rell in one of the previous books. I wouldn’t be able to tell you which one.

When the reader begins Chain of illusions, he knows Rell and Siban already love each other. However, having been a demon for several years left consequences in our heroine because she did some terrible things (which are not told in this novel) when she was under the Bane’s influence. Her feeling of culpability is very strong and she’ll have trouble to feel comfortable among her people. Furthermore, the heroes must learn to trust each other for them to be able to move forward in their relationship and in the adventure.
I really liked the evolution of Rell and Siban’s relationship, the fact that they never hide their love in spite of everything that separates them. The sex scenes are few, which is logical as their quest is their priority, but they are done well.

The author’s style is very lively and the reader quivers at the same time as all the characters. We are afraid for each of them every time they must fight and we want them to get rid of their enemies ASAP. The plot and the suspense are consistent and believable and the decisions are taken in a group.

Chain of illusions is for me a good series of adventures and romance. I look forward to reading the sequel especially as the author gives us some indications about the potential future couples and I can’t wait to discover their story.

This third installment in the Bringer and the Bane series picks up immediately where the last one left off, with both Rell and Siban at a turning point in their lives. Both are about to undergo the transformation into Bringers, but first Rell must shed her Bane form and become human again.

If you’re lost already, don’t feel bad. The prologue of the book delivers a fairly good info dump that sets the stage for the story. Chances are, you’re going to feel like you’re jumping in to the middle of a love story in progress. But that’s true even for those of us who have read the series from the beginning. It’s one of my complaints. The bond between Rell and Siban formed off page. They’re living for one another and totally enamored from their shared history in the Shadow Realm. Back then, Siban was a prisoner of the demons and Rell was his savior. They’ve been apart since his escape, but their feelings for each other stayed strong.

I felt kind of robbed, because we don’t really see them fall for each other. Yes, we watch them develop deeper feelings and navigate the pitfalls of a new relationship, but it’s kind of meh. The big issue surrounds Siban’s desire to protect Rell, while she feels like he’s not respecting her decisions. As far as relationships go, I felt like it lacked intensity. There were so many missed opportunities to explore their pasts… both as individuals and as a couple. Specifically, I felt like Siban had the potential to be a great tortured hero, but it was only superficially acknowledged. It was a little better with Rell, but just barely. I wanted to feel some angst from these two, and all I got was some light conflict.

The story wasn’t bad. Lackluster at times, yes. Too long, yes. Predictable, super yes. But there were some positives too. For one thing, the sex is good. The world-building is unique and solid fantasy –complete with dragons, magic, and a medieval feel. And the secondary characters are compelling and intriguing. I am still a big fan of Icarus, specifically –and I am glad that there is a path laid out for both his redemption and his HEA.

These books have potential, and every time a new one comes out, I pick it up, thinking I’ll like it better than the last and it doesn’t quite happen. Maybe an Icarus book will change the tide.

This is the third book in a series about a place much like earth but with a different history and species. While I read the second book with out the first and managed to understand and enjoy it a lot, this one is not a stand alone. Without at least book two this will be hard to understand. It’s really dependent on understanding the backstory and the world Boone creates.

I really loved the way Boone portrays Rell as she regains her humanity and goes from a teen to a woman in a very short time. The actual transition itself is written beautifully. Boone has a great handle on the battle within – human versus the remnant of darkness and the child becoming an adult. There are other characters, including Rell’s lover to her biological family. The characters are diverse. Boone’s characters are distinct. Her writing is definite, her voice matter of fact. It’s not that she doesn’t describe things, she just doesn’t over describe or sink into purple prose. The last book featured Rell’s sister and her lover, a dragon shifter, both play important parts but Rell and her beau, Siban, play the biggest roles.

And in that relationship we find another struggle, that age old struggle between men and women, protective impulses and autonomy.

I found this a bit long at 368 pages with its epic heroes journey into Mordor, noo noo! Scratch that! Not Mordor! They are going back into the Shadow world to prevent something I would understand better if I had reread the second book in the series. And, the follow-up from the earlier entry in the series, KISS OF THE BETRAYER made enjoying the story harder. With a world this complex, many types of people with a system of special abilities, completely different mythology, geology and history, I have a tough time keeping up.

I noted while reading:
Having a feeling and describing and expressing are completely different and the same goes for other people feeling the same or understanding my explanations.

The third book in The Bringer and the Bane series is a great adult medieval fantasy that takes the reader on a perilous journey in the battle against evil.

Living in the shadow world for the last thirteen years as a Demon Bane, Rell has now been given the chance to be made human and brought into her full Bringer powers. Having been tortured for two years in a Bane prison, Siban will challenge death to become a bringer to be with the beautiful demon who saved him and he fell in love with. Now, together they must join with the Bringers on a quest to save the other brings and what they learn may just challenge everything they know.

This steady paced and smooth flowing plot comes to life with well written words, vivid imagery and strong enchanting characters. There’s lots of suspense, action, and romance to keep the reader entertained throughout. The conflict of good vs. evil is made into a refreshing one with the addition of unique characters and elements that adds depth and intrigue to this exciting story.

The romance between Rell and Siban radiate heat from the pages and the sex scenes cause the readers to shiver with desire. The author does a fantastic job of conveying the emotional turmoil of the couple, the excitement and fear of all the characters making the reader feel as if they are part of story.

The author has created a wonderful fantasy world that captures the imagination and takes them on a “Raiders of the Lost Arc” quest in the continuing battle against the evil Demon Bane. I have not had the pleasure of reading the first two in this series, so I can definitely say that the author also does a fantastic job of getting the reader caught up enough to enjoy this story and yet not spoil the first two. I will be reading the first two books and I am looking forward to the next adventure.

What does it mean to be human? When the demon, Rell, becomes human again after 13 years as a Demon Bane, this is the question she must confront. Fortunately, she has a hunky love interest, Siban, to help her transformation. Unfortunately, they're sent on a dangerous rescue mission deep in the Shadow World. But as any lover of romance novels know, dangerous situations are just opportunities to bring two heroes together... And the two face dangerous situations aplenty.

It's a pleasure to read a well-written book such as Chain of Illusions, by best-selling author, Boone Brux. It's being marketed as a paranormal romance, and it is first and foremost a romance. But in my mind it leans more toward fantasy than paranormal. What's the difference? This would be an interesting topic for debate, and I'm sure others would disagree, but I see paranormal taking place in the "real" world, while fantasy happens in alternate realities. Does the distinction matter? Probably not. Like I said, the writing is strong and the romantic development believable. But if you're wedded to a certain genre, it helps to know what you're getting.

Chain of Illusions is book 3 in the Bringer and Bane series, and the first few chapters contain a good bit of back story to catch folks up. As a personal preference, I wish the author had started the book at Chapter 3, as I felt a bit overloaded with so much back story in the early chapters. That said, this was my first introduction to the series, and I enjoyed spending time in the world the author built. It's creative, logical, and grabs the reader's attention.

Esmerelda "Rell" was captured as a child when the Bane killed her family. She was turned into Demon Bane and for 13 years was stuck in the Shadow World. Siban was a prisoner in the Shadow World, tortured by Sha-hera for two years. After each "session", Rell healed Siban and a connection between them was born. During this time, they fell in love though this was completely off screen since it happened during Jade and Luc's book. Now we have Siban (released by Rell) and Rell (escaped) together again. Can Rell be turned back to human? And will Siban still love her?

The only issue I had was the fact that Siban and Rell's relationship developed without the reader's awareness so it seems like insta-love though it surely wasn't.

Many things were revealed in this installment and I am looking forward to the journey to the Frost World and the release of the Bringers trapped in ice. I'm so waiting for book 4 which I hope, hope, hope is Icarus's story.

I received an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
This is the third in a strong romantic fantasy series. This is Esmeralda "Rell" and Siban's story. Like the books before there is a ton of action and adventure but we also get a boatload of surprises in this book. We find out more about the past and are given clues as to the future. If you are looking for a well-rounded, well written tale with heroes, magic and monsters this is for you.

Jade has rescued her sister Rell from the Shadow World and the Bringers have been able to return her to her human body. Now all the Bringers have to train, mentally and physically, for their mission to rescue the rest of the captured Bringers from the Shadow World and Vile.

They are several points I’d like to make about this story. First I love the barrier tests they need to pass through, but wish they’d been a few more. Second, it sounds like the Immortal weapons are just as dangerous to the welder as the victim. And third, when they’re all talking about their genealogy it got so confusing I had to figure it all out on a piece of paper who was connected to whom. Still not sure about some of them.

Footnote: 1) The way the women transferred Rell’s consciousness to the human form reminds me of the scene where Jake is turned into a Na’vi.

2) Glowb is an oddly cool way to call the light thing.

3) Ravyn’s pet bird sounds beautiful.

Fave scenes: Rell’s transference, finding the Immortal weapons, the grid test and Siban’s suite at Alba Haven.

This was the third installment in the Bringer and the Bane series.
I stumbled across this series and came into it during the second book and completely bypassed the first. This didn't seem to be a problem as everything still seemed to flow.
I enjoyed the second book I read and had whipped through it, this one however had a hard time keeping my interest. I would put it down and not really feel like picking it up again.
I don't think I enjoyed the characters as much this time around, and that had a lot to do with it. I enjoyed the parts with Icarus in it as I found him fascinating but there was not nearly enough of him or the bain in the book for my liking.
Not sure if I will bother reading the fourth book as I kind of assumed already what would be happening and figured I'd just save my time and money.

The world of the Bringer and the Bane is heating up in Boone Brux's third book of the series. Chain of Illusions tells us a story straight from the shadows. About right and wrong, good vs evil and where the line in the sand really is.

Rell was captured by the Bane as a young teenager, before she could even fall in love for the first time. Captured and converted.. for thirteen years she struggled. A Bane and yet still trying to retain something of her humanity. She kept you sister, a full human, with her and taught her as best she could. But even that was not enough to keep the darkness from slowly taking over. Year by year she got darker and darker.. but one man made a difference. A captured Bringer, held and tortured, Rell would sneak in and heal him, feed him and care for him. Creating a bond that could not be broken forged in the very depths of hell. But now, all bets are off.. she has been captured by the Bringers and a chance to reclaim her life has been given to her, if she is brave enough to take it.

Siban is a man who has faced the shadows. For two long years he was held in the shadow world, tortured and all but destroyed. One light in the darkness was Rell, a Bane, A Demon with a heart. And she had captured his. Now finally there is a chance for them. Rell has conceded to attempt to reclaim her body and her life. Loosing her soul from the darkness. But will she be the same? Will Esmerelda the Bringer be the same woman as Rell, the Bane? And will Siban be able to accept the changes?

Rell and Siban fight a battle against evil that no other Bringer can understand. Rell has been Bane and Siban has faced the darkness. They too live in the shadows at times. Rell and Siban have a hard path to follow. They must learn how to work together and to trust each other. Siban, especially needs to understand that while Rell may be new to human form, she has her own heart, dreams and goals. She is a woman of strength that doesn't need protecting. Just loving. But Rell too needs to learn that it isn't a weakness to lean on someone. That there are all kinds of strengths. Sometimes letting someone care for you takes strength and is much harder than doing it all yourself.

There is much going in in the world.. Members of the Bringer council are trying to take control of the Bringer world, claim ultimate power and refuse to acknowledge even the existence of the Bane. Gregory, the Bringer King has come through the arch but can not return until they find his older brother, the true king kidnapped at birth. Rell refuses to let go of some alliances from her past. And even in the world of the Bane, political uprising is coming! Action packed but managing to maintain the core of true romance. Chain of Illusions is an extremely well written book taking a fabulous series, ever deeper into the darkness.

I decided I wasn’t going to request a review copy for this book and would be patient until it was out. Well, that went out the window when I got asked if I was interested in a review copy as they were trying to find more reviewers. I was saddened and surprised as this is one fantastic series from Entangled that I love.
For those who haven’t followed the series so far, I highly recommend reading them in order. The characters and settings all carry over and you will be lost somewhat if you don’t read them consecutively. They are about 300 pages in length and there’s never a dull moment in these stories. They are set on medical Earth that has lived in harmony for a number of years until the Bane (aka Demons) decide they wanted to rule the world and started causing serious trouble.
The Bringers, who are humans with magical gifts tasked to keep them at bay have managed to do so for a number of years. This series follows a group of determined Bringers who are aiming to stop the Bane.
Every since I finished the second book, I have been wondering about Rell, Jade’s older sister and what was going to happen to her. Will she get her happily ever after and become a human again or will she be lost in the darkness forever? Obviously, we are hoping for the first option as it would mean devastation for the Bringers who have worked too hard to get to this point to consider these options as it would mean that their work was in vain.
Once again we are taken on a journey as Bringers try to make their next move as a group. This time we see them interacting as a group more as compared to previous books where the focus was on the main couple of the book.
Stronger than ever despite finding resistance, they plan to strike while the iron is hot and leave the Bane reeling. Meanwhile, Rell struggles to regain her humanity and make the darkness subside in her in order to take her place in the group and help them with the task at hand. It’s hard when you been a Bane for number of years and Jade was the only link to humanity that saved her from losing all traces of it. Or was she? It seems like that there was someone else …
We learn more of the mysterious man who claimed Rell as his saviour and wanted to know her but was restricted by capture and escaped whilst she remained. This book is mainly about Rell’s journey, which is refreshingly different as the previous books were more about the men than the women. It’s about time as the female members of this group have very important roles in their mission.
4 couples. I’m totally confused and trying to guess if there is going to be a HEA for a new couple in the next story or if we are going to revisit one of the previous couples because there is no big hint at the end who it might be.

This is Esmeralda "Rell" and Siban's story. It is also about rescuing the converted Bringers from the Shadow World and Vile.

Great book. It covers the adjustment Rell has to go through internally after her conversion as well as the adjustment her family and the other Bringers have to go through to accept her as part of the group. This book also tackles the hard subject of PTSD in both the Rell and Siban characters which is part of what brings them together. Boone Brux does a great job covering these subjects as well as creating an interesting story about the Bringers and the Bane. There are several signification revelations and plot developments in this book. One of the revelations is concerning Icarus. Icarus is a Bane introduced in the first book. Even though he was a loathsome character in the first book, Ms Brux created him in such a way that I really liked him. Through the previous 2 books she has revealed more and more about the character and my like of him as a character has increased.

Overall strong book and strong series as I've come to expect. A definite recommendation.

Chain of Illusions is the third book of the Bringer and the Bane series by Boone Brux. I highly recommend that if you have not read the first two books in this series that you do. My opinion, by not reading the first two books, there would have been some things in this book, I would not have been able to figure out. With that said This book had me captured from page 1 all the way to the end.

This book starts off right where the other left off Rell who was part of the Bane was captured by the Bringers. The Bringers in return changed her into one of them after they had rescued her body from the underworld. It also goes on to Rell falling in love and possibly a marriage with Siban. Will there be a happy ending? I will not spoil it! This book however takes you into a lot of twists and turn such as Icarus finding out who he really is. There is also a huge battle scene which was my favorite part of the book. The author goes in to well details of the scene describing the setting and the characters its well executed.

However, the only downfall with this book is the ending was a cliff hanger and now I have to wait until the next book comes out for the continuing story.

I cannot say enough about this series, nor can I do it justice with a review. The Bringer and The Bane Series is something you have to dive into, force yourself to stay under until you just can't breathe before you rise to the surface to catch your breath and dive again.

The story of Siban & Rell has been around for awhile now. She rescued him from the Bane, and she's lived as a Bane. For over 13 years. Siban is still working through the darkness that seeped into him during his tortuous days with the Bane. A lot of story points come to conclusion in this book, and more information is given. The Bringers learn more of their history, find lost companions, learn of even more treachery than they thought possible, and yes, there is romance. Siban & Rell explode with their differences and their darkness together.

Get to reading!

Of the three books of Bringer and Bane, this was the less convincing. It alternated between boredom, inconsequential sex, a fast battle and more boredom, spiced with illogical affirmations and grammatical mistakes.
I saw no growth in the MCs, their issues are resolved withuot being affronted, and it seems the only problem was the past Bane-ness of the female MC.
The hero doubts, undermines and stifles her, treats her as a little girl save for in the bedroom, betrays her trust (he says "I will never say this thing to anyone", a few chapters later he shouts, in front of EVERYONE "You did this thing!!" and she not even slap him? please!), is generally a pain in the a** because he is jealous, and he seems the fair one. How so?
I am curious about the general plot, so I hope the next one will be out soon and will be better.

The tale continues as the Bringers learn more about the bane of their existence Vile and his minions. Rell and Sibon’s story blossoms and the reader is immersed in the couples journey to finding the balance in their relationship.
Love has many tests for these two. Rell helped Sibon while he was in the Bane prison. He fell in love with her demon and hopes that she will love him once she’s returned to her human form.
The years under the control of the Bane have given Rell a foundation of understanding that Sibon is vexed to understand. The conflict that this brings to the story is intriguing and frustrating for the young couple. Trust is a large obstacle in their path.
The story is fast paced and ended way too soon! I can’t wait for the next installment!

Rell has lived in the Shadow World of the Bane for thirteen years. She has been rescued and regained her humanity. Now that she has obtained her full power, she is fighting with Siban and the other Bringers to stop the treachery and find her peace. Boone Brux is a masterful storyteller. This book is well plotted. All the characters are well defined and filled with deep emotions. Whether you love them or hate them, they grab your attention and pull you into their story. This is her third book in the Bringer and The Bane series and they just keep getting better. She balances action and suspense with love and deep emotions. I couldn't put this book down.

Chain of Illusions (Bringer and the Bane) by Boone Brux is the third in a series but the first by the author for me to have read. Having not read the first two books in the series I felt that I was trying to catch up with everyone and everything at times. Still the fantasy world she has created really engages the imagination, as well as the conflicts and emotions of the two main characters, Rell and Sabin. This is as much a romance story as a fantasy one. Now I want to read the first two books to grasp the full understanding of this world in which the lines of good versus evil are so clearly drawn.

I really love the beginning but the story grew a bit slow and the characters took forever to make links and draw the conclusion we could figure out from the first half of the book which was a bit annoying. However, I have to say I was impressed by Rell's personality and strength, already from when she was a Bane but still talking care and raising her younger sister but in her fight against her own darkness even after being saved. Sivan was an interesting character too but his inability to trust even the woman he loves kind of bothered me and made me like him less.
I hope the next story will be about Icarus and Meran, their story promises to be very exciting!!!

SO I MUST say, This book was another pleasantly surprised story. I really liked the whole concept of Bringer and the Bane. I haven't read any of the previous books. However, I must say, now I DO want to buy the previous ones and read them.

So over all, this story was different and the MCs clicked so easily, I'm certainly looking forward to reading the previous books and next one when it does release!
