So the mc Johnny Lee is hairy than a donkeys nut sack but the guy on cover smooth like a babies bum? Wtf? For real?
So this book takes place before book 1 dude ranch. And takes place before book two, Secret Flames.
So if you want to read books with the chronological time line read book 3 then book 1 and then read book 2
This is mostly just sex with Johnny lee and his lover that takes place before Johnny Lee gets with Thrice in book 1
Really this should be like book .5 or something.
It was bitter sweet ending and I was bored because it was mostly just sex. And I never saw a connection with the guys.
This secret yearly affair story isn't mentioned in anyway I can see in any of the main books. This even contradicts dude ranch because Johnny wouldn't kiss that book and says he never kisses but in this short story he loves kissing.
First off, I'm totally confuzzled by the order of this series. Book 2 is actually book 1 of a different series; book 3 actually takes place before book 1 (I think); and all I want to know is what happened to Thrice from book 1?
There is minimal hair worshiping in this segment, but it's short and mostly just sex. These guys apparently get together once a year for a week where they pretend to be people they aren't to remain anonymous to each other. Didn't totally understand the need for that, but ok.
Johnny Lee (aka "JL") is still stuck on maintaining his single status so he can screw all the new dudes coming to the ranch. He apparently makes a special exception to "Cutter" in the kissing department in this one. Think I'm going to need a little break before reading more of this series.
What a melancholy book. Don't get me wrong, I did like it, but from the halfway point the story seemed to take on a mood of sadness and inevitable heartache. That made me want the book to last, prolonging the inevitable...oddly it just as strongly made me want the book to hurry up and end, just to put a stop to this maudlin tone...
Worth the read. Caution if you're a sucker for happy endings.
