So far this book is interesting, I'm not religious so I don't always understand the biblical text, or quotes used from the bible.
I don't believe in God, I wasn't brought up to believe in God, I had the freewill to decide what religion or spiritual belief resonates with me.
To correct the author a Athame is a ceremonial dagger used by witches to cast a circle to create a safe space to open a portal and cast a ritual, ask for the aid of Deities.
Animism is a (Native American belief in it's origin) they believe that everything in nature is alive and has a soul.
It's interesting that God purposefully sent the serpent Samael into the garden of Eden to test Eve. Based on things it says about God in this book, I can see why some people think God is a evil, tyrant and therefore they reject Christianity.
In my opinion Christianity is a sexist, narcissistic, misogynistic religion that is responsible for a lot of evil committed in the world, due to their intolerance, hatred, fear of the Celtic, Pagans, Native Americans, Witches, Psychics, Oracles, Seers etc...
Anyone they label as a "Heretic" or "Heathen" for believing in a alternative and polytheistic religion, but people have the right & freewill to decide what resonates with them spiritually, and what doesn't, instead of being dictated what they should believe, how they should act.
I'm not supporting or believing in a religion that is sexist, narcissistic, misogynistic towards women. Nope, I will never be a Christian. 😐
There are various interpretations of Satan and there are separate entities that are different Demons such as Baphomet (He is not Satan)
Lucifer-The Roman/Greek Deity the Morning Star (the "light-bearer" or "Light-Bringer") and Mephistopheles.
Satan & Lucifer are separate celestial, interdimensional entities/beings/fallen angels. It depends on why version of them you read since there is a Roman version of Lucifer, and different interpretations of in in various mythologies in various cultures/different pantheons.
A Devil & a Demon
(originally known as Daimon & Daemon which is Greek in origin)
Both are a non-human Demonic entities but they are different types of Demonic entities. They are not the same type of Entity!
Ahriman is the name of a Demon.
Most Demons have a legion of minor demons that they command. Legion for we are many.
There is a difference between "stage-magic"
People like Harry Houdini (His real name is Erich Weiss he was a Hungarian-American stage magician, illusionist, escapologist)
Magick (witchcraft) is completely different and people don't use the correct spelling when they have written a book about witchcraft.
Merlin, King Solomon are witches or Warlocks whatever term you want to use.
I don't understand why Demons are described as a "spirit of King Solomon" when they are a Demon, a non-human entity.
I don't really care about all the biblical bible quotes because i'm not religious or believe in God. I assumed this book would explain the different types of entities & demons people believed in from ancient civilizations up to modern times and what people believe now.
I don't care about Christian fear mongering, biblical dogma, I just wanted to read about Devils & Demons, and learn more about them or people's beliefs in Devils, Demons, witchcraft from various cultures, eras of time etc..

This is written in an encyclopedia style, but many of the entries relate stories. Scribd's license expires in a few days, so I was hurrying to finish it. The last 100 pages I used speed reading techniques to get through it.
