Mark Victor Hansen is an American inspirational and motivational speaker, trainer and author. He is best known as the founder and co-creator of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book series.

Mark Victor Hansen was born to Danish immigrants, Una and Paul Hansen. He grew up in Waukegan, Illinois. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1970 with a B.A. in speech communications.

Along with business partner, Jack Canfield , Hansen is best known for creating what Time magazine called “the publishing phenomenon of the decade”. Chicken Soup for the Soul books are one of the most successful publishing franchises in the world today, with more than 500 million books sold internationally and more than 100 licensed products. The name “Chicken Soup” was chosen because of the use of chicken soup as a home remedy for the sick. The first Chicken Soup book, published by Health Communications, Inc., sold more than 2 million copies. There are now over 500 million copies in print and in 54 languages worldwide.

In 2005 he co-wrote, along with Robert Allen, the book "Cracking the Millionaire Code" in which he highlights several self-made millionaires such as Bob Circosta, Michael Dell, Bill Gates, Alexander Graham Bell, Oprah Winfrey, and others, using them as examples of how to build wealth.

"To Love, and to be loved, is to feel the sun from both sides." -David Viscott.

I remember a particular day in class, when my Teacher had mentioned a few stories from this book. Back then, I had never once heard of this book. But, I was lucky enough to get my hands on it.
Chicken soup for the soul, is one of the best books one could ever read. This book is filled with tiny anecdotes, qoutes and short stories, that will inspire and motivate you to live life to the fullest.
This book contains a wide variety of stories on different topics such as- love, friendship, overcoming obstacles etc. That will inspire you and make you appreciate life even more.
The stories in this book are very heart warming, and I feel it is a must read for any person of any age. Whether you like reading, or not. Reading a story a day from this book, will keep you grounded and hopeful. Definitely worth reading.

Những câu chuyện ngắn:

Một người vì mọi người
Một việc làm ý nghĩa
Một tấm gương sống động
Một ngày đi chơi hồ
Cha tôi thật kì diệu
Mừng ngày đoàn tụ
Lời cảm ơn muộn màng
Xin cho tôi biết...
Một người bạn thật sự
Trong mắt mỗi người
Người cha vĩ đại
Cảm thấy mình to lớn

This book is combination story from different people. Every story is short but it was meaningful. The chapter I like the most is chapter 5 about manner. This chapter made me aware about the important our manner to anyone. If we spread Kindness, we will get more than that, sooner or later.

The weakneses from short story combination is first, there will be at least one story that does not match the reader's taste. Second, it will be boring if we read it continously without pause until the end.

For me, this book still worth to read. Indeed, there is a few of short story didn't fit me well but the rest of the story still touch my heart. For the first time I read it, it was boring. But later I decided to read it bit by bit and then voila, I found the meaning of this book.
