Born in the flames of hell and brought to Earth as an infant to perpetrate evil, Hellboy was rescued from sinister forces by the benevolent Dr. Broom, who raised him to be a hero. In Dr. Broom's secret Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.), Hellboy creates an unlikely family consisting of the telepathic "Mer-Man" Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman, the woman he loves who can control fire. A very good movie makes for a pretty good read! It's very faithful to the movie, which takes away just a little bit from the joy of reading a novelization that has some more authorial flourishes, but at least it was faithful to a great movie.
its based off the movie and just doesnt really do it for me. it could have gone so much deeper with character descriptions and the setting it self but it just touches on the surface level of the book
