Payton and Emma are headed for celebrity status in this L.A. adventure! After their adventures in New York City, identical twins Payton and Emma Mills thought life would go back to normal. But when the girls are asked to star in a Teen Sheen shampoo commercial, they can’t resist—especially because the shoot is in Hollywood! Suddenly life isn’t so normal, especially when it involves Ashlynn (Payton’s camp nemesis), a supercute heartthrob singer, and a cutthroat movie star wannabe. When a mix-up at the commercial threatens to shut down production, can Payton, Emma, and their twin-switching ways save the day? Or will they have to say good-bye to Hollywood?
I absolutely loved this book! It is probably the best book that I have ever read for a long, long time! I would and I did give it five stars! The book completely relates to me, interests me, and it is so realistic!!! The genre of this book would be realistic fiction!
The plot of this story is that two girls, identical twin girls, Payton and Emma have no idea what they are in for. They have been through many things and decisions such as twin switches, girl drama, and experiencing what teenage girls experience. Their teacher announces to them that they have been asked to be in a commercial...in Hollywood!!! Throughout the story, the girls learn a lot about Hollywood, it's stars, the film experience, and the mean girls along the way. The commercial ends up being a great commercial and the girls are really proud of themselves. Payton even bumps into Dustin Weaver! I bet that you know what that really stands for. Emma is even asked to be on a game show! The theme of this book is to express yourself and to enjoy life because it goes by pretty fast.
This book connects to many experiences that I have had, and that I want to have! By the descriptions of the looks of the girls, the girls even look like me! Also, the books have really reflected off of the other books in the series (this the fourth and I think final). Since the beginning of the first book, the girls and even I have had a crazy adventure!
I just finished reading the book Double Feature written by: Julia Dellivers. This book a realistic fiction book. I found this book really fun to read and interesting! It kept you wondering which makes you want to keep reading. Now I will tell you somethings about this book.
This book is about two twin sisters Peyton and Emma who have been choose to shoot in a shampoo commercial. The commercial shoots in Hollywood, and they will be leaving in a few days. As soon as they get in Hollywood they are amazed by the people, buildings, and especially the Hollywood sign! As soon as they run into Ashlynn (the mean girl that picks on everyone) everything goes downhill form there. Turns out Ashlynn is shooting in the same commercial! You will have to read the book to find out what happens next!
My favorite character in this book would for sure be Peyton. I like her best because she loves to have fun, make new friends, and is crazy about her clothes. As where her twin sister Emma is very strict about school, and is not all about having fun. But when Peyton and Emma are together they are in for way more that they plan.
I would recommend this book to ALL girls. I also read the first book by the same author called Trading Faces. I hope the author writes more books as good as the first two!
This is the fourth book in the trading face series. I love how two twins wrote this book. I think it is written a little bit too easy to read but it has an entertaining and fast paced plot. I have to get the fifth one!
Once again, love the work of Jennifer Roy & Julia Devillers. The plot was exciting. Took me a while to finish, because it wasn’t very riveting personally. However, loved every bit of it.
I read the book Double Feature. This book is 264 pages long. It is written by the twins, Julia DeVillers and Jennifer Roy. The title explains this book well. My favorite part of this book is when they first go to Hollywood to shoot their commercial. I love the reactions to what they see, and especially when Payton’s arch rival, Ashlynn, is filming the shampoo commercial with them. I think they are just so in shock to go to Hollywood, that they can’t believe Ashlynn has come too. I wouldn’t believe it either if that happened to me. My favorite character in this book has to be Payton. She is definitely the “fashionista” twin of the two. She loves dressing up all the time and sightseeing around the town of Hollywood. She is how I would act. If I got to Hollywood, I wouldn’t be worried about school, (like her twin, Emma, is). I would be trying to find celebrities. I mean, how often can you go to Hollywood? NEVER! How often do we get to go to school? Always! So if I had to pick a favorite character, it would be her. Although, with the exception of putting herself down next to Ashlynn, she is the more fun, more upbeat twin. The best part in this book is them forgetting Emma’s suitcase. When they realize that Payton put her stuff in Emma’s, after taking her clothes out. I thought that was kind of funny and ridiculous. I would probably double check my suitcase before going somewhere a LONG ways away. This book is a fun, upbeat book. I like it, and look forward to seeing if there will be another book in this series. I would recommend this book to most girls my age, and even adults with children.
Identical twins Payton and Emma Mills thought their lives would settle down after they returned from their trip to New York. Just as they are getting back into their usual daily routines at their middles school they get some big news. They have been chosen to be in a teen shampoo commercial. Now they are off to Hollywood and possible fame, squee!
This is the fourth book in a series starring identical twins Paton and Emma. Essentially this is a kind of mean girls light, with some high jinks related to twin swapping. Twins Paton and Emma are really good kids even though Paton might not be so studious and Emma is uber competitive when it comes to school. However they encounter mean girl types both in their middle school and their trip to Hollywood. Not surprising the mean girls get theirs and Payton and Emma rise above. Not a terrible for this type of book. Points for using the word squee as an expression of excitement.
I recently read Double Feature by Julia DeVillers. I have read the other books that the author has wrote, but by far, I think this book is the best. Not only does Payton finally have her dreams come true abut being on TV, Emma gives drama advice to a friend. I love how the author managers to get the characters feelings across without being to obvious. Payton and Emma end up going to New York for a commercial but Payton faces her arch enemy.... Ashlynn! Again the author makes each chapter from each of the twins perspective. In this book I think I am more related to Emma because she was nervous at first but get more relaxed with show box at the end. I rated this book 5 stars because the author wrote in detail the way the twins felt. This book was great!
Payton and Emma are two twins that have been offered to be in a shampoo commercial. They say yes and head to Hollywood with their dad. When in Hollywood, Payton saw her enemy and has to try to ignore her. Then she finds out that her twin sister Emma is the actor with pretty hair and Payton is the one with greasy hair. Payton has to get over that to. Later she finds her self in the arms of her crush who is a very famous actor, paparazzi took a picture of Payton in his arms and he just ignored her and left. I love the structure of the book because it shows the point of view of both Payton and Emma. In this book it shows Payton getting stronger by so many obstacles that came her way and Payton got through all of them.
While part of a series, this book could stand alone as well. Cute story about identical twins Payton and Emma and there adventures while trying to make a commercial in HOLLYWOOD! The girls are determined to soak every bit of Hollywood up, but along the way they get into their special brand of trouble. Middle school girls will really appreciate this book.

Would you purchase this book? Yes Why? My girls would enjoy it
This book is a realistic fiction that makes you want read more. The main characters are Payton and Emma Mills and their dad. My favorite part of the book was when Payton has to play a role as herself and her sister in a shampoo commercial because Emma was helping a friend with her audition. I enjoyed that part because it was entertaining and so up beat. This story takes place in , Hollywood, California. My favorite character is Payton's boyfriend Nick because, when Emma and Payton were getting ready to leave for Hollywood he came over and sang to Payton. I would love to read more books by Julia DeVillers and Jenifer Roy.
"Double Feature" is the 4th book. I decided to read this book because I had read the first one and I saw this one which look super interesting, it is super relatable. There are two main characters, Emma and Payton. They are twins who are now going through middle school, they have both learned to face the disappointment and the embarrassment. I have so far read how they have went to New York City and are now at school again, they have met many more friends and have become closer to many other people. "Double Feature" has been a great book so far.
Payton and Emma are headed for celebrity status in this L.A. adventure! They’ve had their share of identical antics in the past, but the stage is set for drama of the best kind as the twins set out to conquer Hollywood! It’s bright lights, swimming pools, and movie stars all the way. Of course, with Payton and Emma on the scene, there’s also bound to be at least a little—okay, maybe a lot of—twin-tastic trouble as well….
Emma and Payton are heading to fame as they take off for a commercial filming that requires identical twins. Along the way, they run into some trouble and some pleasant surprises.
I liked the story but it didn't think it was amazing since I couldn't think of myself reading the book again (over time) without getting bored.
I liked this book because it was realistic fiction. Emma and Payton, two twins are starting their career by acting. They start out having to deal with mean girls at school and a week later they are in commercials and TV shows. So now instead of going to school everyday they are excited for the Hollywood life.
I read this when I was in 4th grade. It's such an unrealistic story, but a fun read about two twin girls. One is more about fashion, the other loves knowledge. I would recommend for younger girls. The fun and simple plot and writing makes it an easy read.
(If I read the book now it would certainly get less stars, but at the time I loved it!)
More like 4.5 stars. This book was A MA ZING like all of the Trading Faces books. But it was just the placement, I guess, that bothered me. They come back from NYC and immediately get asked to Hollywood? Isn’t that weird? Overall, this is a REALLY great book and an even better series. I definitely recommend it to any girls my age.
This book is really interesting. It is about 2 twin girls who get invited to go to Hollywood to film a commercial. Lots of things happen on the way and once they might need to do their secret "twin switch." Lots of problems that need solving and lots of fun stuff.
Good read for middle-graders. Creative story lines. The two main girl characters have relatable personalities and qualities. Make sure you read the other books in the series starting with Trading Faces.
I LOVED the story, setting, and plot and I liked how there were surprises at every turn but there was a lot of typos and I found that distracting to what could have been (but wasn't) a 5 star book. I found it disappointing that I could only give it 4 stars, but otherwise I loved everything.
I Really Really like this book...and all the others in this series! This book is about two twin girls who go to hollywood and shoot a commercial. This series is Really great because things are always happening and it keeps me REALLY interested all the time!
I liked this book because it teaches leasons about not to trust someone who is always mean to you. i enjoyed reading this book because I am a twin so I'm very connected to Payton and Emma.
