Clint Williams Born Feb. 16, 1852 Died March 23, 1877
Those are the words that mark his grave, and Clint knows that although he stands reading his own epitaph, they are true. Ever since the attack that killed his entire family, he's been dead inside. Only one thing keeps him going--the burning need to bring in the outlaws who savaged his family.
The Last Chance Saloon Posing undercover to infiltrate the gang, Clint can let no one know his true identity or the fact that he'd once been a Texas Ranger. Not even the pretty daughter of a preacher man who bursts into the saloon, calling upon the gamblers to repent. As far as she knows, he's a gunslinger with a bad reputation who has no right to touch a good woman. But sometimes a man's got to break all the rules, ignore common sense, and get downright...DEFIANT.

Ugliness, or should I say mean spirited and black hearted. This what happened to the Frank Williams family, a Texas Ranger, his Clint is also a Texas Ranger. The entire family was MURDERED by the Tucker Gang, who felt that Frank Williams was getting to close to who is the mysterious leader of this gang. The gang thought they killed the entire Williams family, but they didn't, Clint Williams was shoot three times, but he survived. There are lots of twists and mystery that Clint will undergo in his quest to bring this gang to justice either dead or alive, but he will make them PAY for MURDERING his family. So all you western lover, add this author to your list of westerns, you won't be disappointed... ....................RIDE EASY EVERYONE........
Would be a 5 star book except for numerous editing errors such as extra words and misspelled word. Fox those and would be a 5star rating. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn’t want it to end. Clint’s character was pretty well developed, Rachel’s was ok. Good sex scenes without going overboard. Some action. Mystery as to who was the head of the Tucker gang. I didn’t want to put it down. Bobbi Smith is an author that’s new to me. I’m finding I’m liking her so far. I really enjoy the American West genre. It’s hard to find books in this genre that are good but not clean/sweet. I myself like a good sex scene and passion and my romances that I read so was glad I found this author. Will continue to read more books by her. I also recommend this book.
Good suspense and a little twist to this who is it! I could have done with a little less sexual explanation, which is the reason for the 4 rating. My skipping that part because I have enough imagination and that is the reason for only reading Christian writing.
I've been a fan of Bobbi Smith since I began reading western historical romance back in the 80's. I've read most of her books, and re-reading them again. She is one my go to authors, that I know I'll enjoy any book she writes. This book doesn't disappoint, it is full of adventure, surprises, a hot Texas Ranger and of course sweet romance. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Clint the main character overcomes the tragedy of seeing his family murdered. On the road to bring justice he meets a remarkable and beautiful young innocent woman. Going undercover, he rides to find the killers and find healing love. God answers prayer.
It's been awhile since I've read a Bobbi Smith book. I rushed through this one today. The storyline was really good. It kept me interested til the very last. Writing today is so much edgier than in the eighties when her books were so popular. Not bad.
Good easy read. Good story line that keeps you glued to the book. I'm a slow reader and read it in two days! I liked the way the author described the characters. It felt like they were people you'd like to meet. A mix of cowboy and romance. I enjoyed it.
This is a sweet, yet simple, western romance. As predicted, good guys win without difficulty, guy gets girl, happily ever after. I was quite frustrated with phrases bring repeated ad nauseam, such as 'preacher's daughter.'
This was a definite page turner. It reminded me of the Lone Ranger but with a love interest. A Ranger feigned death to get revenge and falls in love with a preacher’s daughter. My biggest problem with the book was it was a little too stereotypical.
Well written.About tragic event's that happen.Heartache and .Bringing outlaw to justice .Love and happiness.About a family trying to get souls saved.Different from her other books.A good western of you like westerners.
Story line is great. Sometimes it was predictable, however I still found it to be a good read. Lots of action, lots of fun to read. I would recommend it to all.
Starts off with action and keeps on going. This is a well crafted story, and the leading characters continue developing as the story unfolds. I love a good western and this is certainly one of them. The only flaw is the sensitivity Clint reveals around Rachel early in their relationship. As hardened as he had become from the slaughter of his family, it's questionable that he could so easily permit his sensitivity free reign. However, Clint is a man of great substance and he is unwavering in his dedication to doing "right". He is a leader and Rachel is strong enough to stand on her own. A very good story.
Another enjoyable book by Bobbi Smith. Is he the gunslinger and the preacher's daughter or is he the Texas Ranger with the preacher's daughter? Or both and a good read.
