Attorney Caroline Ellis wants a decent orgasm or twenty. Sex has been mediocre since she and Jordan Fox split and he owes her for breaking his word and her heart.
Businessman Jordan Fox wants to win back the woman he loves. He regrets not going through with that ménage in college, but the idea of letting another man touch him made him run. It was the biggest mistake of his life and long past time to make it right.
Secretly bisexual attorney Seth Foster has his fist wrapped around a recurrent fantasy that Jordan, his boss and best friend, is not completely hetero. Never in those wildest dreams did he imagine they could come true.
Jordan’s determination to get Caroline back could fulfill each of their fantasies and more
Hmm. I have no idea why people want to know what makes me… me, but here it goes: My favorite hobby is reading, and I am a complete romance snob.
If a story doesn’t have romance, it isn’t worth it. If there’s hot sex, all the better.
Let’s face it, fantasy is usually a lot more fun than reality. Not always, but usually. As a writer, one can be anything, do anything, say anything that comes to mind. There are a thousand and one ways to make things happen, each one more exciting than the last.
Since I have a very active imagination, this is the best job in the world.
I have read various erotic stories in the past, including some novels I really enjoyed by Emma Holly such as Prince of Ice and the amazing short story The Night Owl (found in the anthology Hot Blooded). My romance needs are simple...I need some good old fashioned love with my sex scenes. If an erotica has that all-important emotional connection coupled with the hot, steamy sex, then I'm a happy camper. Illegal Moves has it all...characters who come to life (okay, every word I write seems to have a double entendre...this is going to be difficult), a great sense of humor, steaming hot sex scenes, and the emotional satisfaction of a couple finding love together again after fifteen long years. Diaz and Cayto write with a smooth, contemporary voice that seamlessly combines the humor, sex and storyline and keeps a brisk pace going throughout the book. (Yeah, I like it fast...okay, there's another one). They are especially talented at capturing the male point of view. Jordan and Seth are both highly likable characters...successful, loyal, sexy and loving. Caroline has a painful past to overcome, and she finds happiness with not one, but two wonderful men. This erotic tale perfectly combines the lust and love, and rewards the reader with a HEA (Happily Ever After), and hopefully a sequel for Seth, who is totally cool and deserving of his own story.
For those of you looking for a spicy menage story, I hightly recommend Illegal Moves. Kick it up a notch, baby! Grade: A Penelope
I really enjoyed this story. What worked for me was that the hero and heroine had a past so the connection between them was already drawn tight. Further, the other male fit into the story on every level. He was best friend to the hero and a legal sparring partner to the heroine. It didn't hurt that he was eminently likable. The sex was definitely erotic and the story made me smile. I will definitely seek out more of Diaz's work. (Full disclosure, I do know the author and am thrilled to love what she wrote!)
Summary Illegal Moves by Dalton Diaz is a combination of a Harlequin Blaze romance and a John Grisham novel where the main characters all have sex with each other. Legal issues take a back seat to sex and romance. The ending is happy, although not perfect. At 170 pages it's not really worth the $5-6 ebook price, but it's a good read if you can find it on sale.
Fantasy World Certain historical elements are a bit hard to envision, and characters make some decisions which are a little hard to swallow. If you can sit back and just accept those elements, the story is enjoyable.
Tingle Factor Very hot sex scenes especially when the men get busy. There is only one big male/male scene, but there is some male/male fantasizing. The rest is female/male action.
Romance The romance seems hopeless at first, but then suddenly the pieces click together.
Drama Sexual tension between the characters rules the story.
Heroine Caroline is really pissed about Jordan not fulfilling their bargain in college, and her hate for him is a bit overdone. She's not really all that likeable for most of the book, but she's not so hateable to prevent most readers from finishing the story.
Hero #1 Jordan organizes a large scheme all with the goal of getting Caroline to fall back in love with him. It's a little Rube Goldberg, but it works. He's a likeable guy and you'll feel bad for him when Caroline is mean to him.
Hero #2 Seth is Jordan's best friend and business partner. He has the unenviable task of working with Caroline in contract negotiations while Jordan works in the background on love negotiations. He is attracted to his best friend, but hasn't acted on it for fear of losing both the friendship and business success. However, when opportunity knocks, he is not one to ignore it.
This book has pretty much everything one expects from a romance/erotica novel - lovers reunited, long-hidden feelings and attraction from one friend to another, an alpha male (actually 2 alpha males), and a great deal of super-hot sex. Happily, it is not sex devoid of emotion - you really feel how much Caroline and Jordan love each other, and how much passion there is whenever they're together. Plus, it's definitely interesting, emotional, and, again, *hot*, to see Seth struggling with his feelings for Jordan, and Jordan coming to terms with how being with a man (who happens to be his best friend) makes him feel. Jordan's exploration of a physical relationship with Seth is chock-full of his anxieties, fears, doubts, and eventually acceptance and, shall we say, extreme enjoyment. The relationships all feel authentic - we're told that Caroline and Jordan deeply love and want each other, and it becomes obvious very quickly that that's true. Jordan and Seth are best friends, and it's clear how much both value that friendship. Indeed, it's that strong foundation that gives Jordan the courage to explore being with a man, at first because Caroline wants him to, and later because he acknowledges that it's something that he wants to do for himself. This is a great book - it's pretty short, but the relatively few pages it does have contain plentiful, super-steamy sex (of the M/F, M/M/F, and M/M varieties), and lots of intense, organic emotions that ensure that readers care about these characters as they explore, establish, and solidify their relationship(s).

Caroline and Jordan had an relationship years ago, but Jordan could not go through with a promise and broke their trust in each other Now Jordan wants Caroline back and he is willing to risk a lot for that.
this was an ok read. Jordan knows what he wants and how to make it happen. Caroline was for me a bit too much hang up in the past as she could or more would not let go of his mistake from years ago. I thought it was a bit forced
the character I liked most was Seth - he was a great addition
I really liked this one. I like how Caroline went from resentful to back in love. I like how Jordan was willing to prove that he had made a mistake by letting her go. I liked how he proved his willingness to do anything for her. *grin* I'm not sure what I find hotter - a guy taking it up the ass by a woman with a vibrator or by another guy. Either way, I thought the love scenes were smoking hot!
This was a pretty good story. I liked Jordan, Caroline and Seth and the story was hot while dealing with deep emotions.
Caroline is a lawyer that works in Boston. She hasn't had a decent relationship/sex-life in years...basically since college when her and Jordan had been involved. When he puts a bid in on a company she's represents she's not happy at all to have to see him again. He hurt her badly back in college and broke his word...she's unwilling to give him an inch and to be honest it's understandable (to a point). She decides to get sex out of Jordan but not to let him get to her past that.
Jordan has regretted his actions in college for years. He went on with his life and tried to find someone else but no one ever compared with Caroline and it was all just meaningless sex. After 15 years he's decided he has to try for her again and sets out to buy a company he doesn't need as an excuse to get near her. He's very unhappy when she agrees to see him but just for sex (she wont even let him kiss her on the mouth) and he struggles to try to find a way to get her to trust him again. I actually think I liked Jordan the best of the three...he made a big mistake when he was younger but I really like him now and cheered for him in his efforts to win Caroline back.
Seth is Jordan's best friend and lawyer. He's bi-sexual but never told Jordan because he's secretly been in love with him for years. When Jordan decides to win Caroline back, Seth knows it's the end of his fantasies but tries to help Jordan anyways. Seth's a good guy and I liked him.
Things are rough between Caroline and Jordan for quite a while. Caroline isn't willing to give Jordan an inch and he has to come to terms with just how badly he hurt her and the fact he may not be able to win her back. As the deal closes and Jordan is still failing to convince Caroline he makes a last ditch effort to make up for the past. Seth actually ends up helping things along and an arrangement is made that ends up with them all in bed together.
At this point there are still heavy emotions at play but it's nice because Caroline stops fighting her love for Jordan. I liked her and could understand her anger with Jordan but I was happy when she got over it because it was sad to see her pushing Jordan away when he's trying so hard to make up for the past. After things between Jordan and Caroline are settled, the feelings brought about by Seth's inclusion are dealt with and what this could mean for them long term. I liked the ending and thought it was well done but I was a little disappointed about one thing.
Overall I enjoyed this story. Jordan, Caroline and Seth are all good characters and the story was well done. I'd recommend it. :D
I struggle whether to put the mmf tag on this book since it's not all about the menage nor about the mmf , but will put it on there anyway.
It was a short read but it helped that the main characters already had a backstory so the connection was there and just had to be repaired. Thanksfully no "insta-love". The menages from the backstory made me laugh. I can't imagine a couple setting up both of those scenarios. And totally wasn't surprised that Jordan would chicken out on his turn at the wheel. But it certainly put the wheels in motion for all three characters to get together.
Was pleasantly surprised. I give this book a 3.5 stars for the ending alone. I am usually critical of threesome books that end up happily ever after and I am glad that this book is realistic in the ending. I am not saying that threesomes don't exist and or are they functional. I just think it is hard to believe that all three are secure in the relationship and are getting everything they desire, feeling as if they are the number one person in the relationship. But those are my issues I guess. It would be nice to think that a couple can explore a threesome experience and end up stronger. So thank you for writing a book that I could fantasize about and feel like it could actually happen in real life. SIGH, yes I just sighed.

As with most explicit mmf stories, the characters had germs of interesting ideas, the intimacy was generally nicely sizzling, but the overall plot and relationship story weren't as strong as I'd really like. (In other words, I'd really prefer more relationship-focused mmf adult romances with some explicit sizzle rather than the glut of more physically-focused mmf romantic erotica where the strength/emphasis seems to be on the threeway explicit scenes.) Overall, this had a better balance of story, character, relationship and explicit sizzle than many, hence I enjoyed all aspects, but not quite my favorite.
I am giving this a 3.5. I enjoyed Caroline and thought the banter between her, Jordan and Seth was funny. I laughed out loud quite a bit. The past relationship between Jordan and Caroline was interesting and a great set up to what happens when they all come together.
I was disappointed by the end and felt it was rushed. Overall though a great, quick HOT read.
Really good m/f/m story. Really hot sex scenes, and the intricacies of the m/m, m/f and m/f/m relationships were handled in a realistic way. The ending is HEA and HFN, also felt real and right. I'd love to see another story with these characters.
