"Buckland offers one of the most articulate and coherent statements about where we are and where we might be going that has been presented to date". -- Wilson Library Bulletin
Michael Buckland is Emeritus Professor in the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley, and Codirector of the Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative there.
What a great perspective on the future of libraries. Amazing that it was written back in 1992 as Bucklands observations then are as relevant and meaningful today as they were at the time. I suspect that the Manifesto may have more resonance today than in '92.
