Jun Kaneko: Magic Flute

Rate this book
This is an in depth overview of the creation & development of the opera Magic Flute by artist Jun Kaneko. In 2009 the San Francisco Opera commissioned Jun Kaneko to create a contemporary Magic Flute which took Kaneko on a three-year journey to realize this new high-tech production. The book documents this process from the very first artist sketches until the opening night production on stage in San Francisco. This highly interesting and exciting journey is recorded in numerous colour photographs throughout the book and is accompanied by essays that not only address the production's creation but Mozart and the times, the age of Enlightenment in which he created this unusual opera.

Pictures wow. Stuck in Omaha Nebraska I believe. Waching clay dry and crake hording mountains of scuptures. Terribly hard to glaze. Not just another clay book though Kaneko has really good clay too only I cannot remember how to make it.
