He is the author of six books and has worked extensively with many organizations, including the Congress of Racial Equality, Students for a Democratic Society, and the United Auto Workers. This book, and Eric Mann's work in general (including material published by the Labor Community Strategy Center), should be much more widely read. He is easily one of the most important people and thinkers of the post-1960s LA left.
