I read this book years ago in preparation to be the author's host at the University of Oregon. Helen Caldicott was a generally quite person until she spoke about insanity of the nuclear arms race. Her book is equally efficient as I found the author and it seems somehow that the current occupant of the highest office in our land is no longer satisfied with the efforts that have lead to such a long nuclear peace since World War Two. I recommend the book for people who want to understand the early years of nuclear freeze movement and the efforts to stop the arms race.
