It's the week before Christmas, and all through the house...
With just seven days until Christmas, Janna Myers needs a snowplough to get through the mountain of work on her desk. Not that she cares, though. This holiday season, like all the ones before it, she plans to spend curled up with her laptop, visions of pound signs dancing through her head. When a blizzard traps Janna in the country with handsome Alistair Randall, CEO of the UK's biggest Christmas tree supplier, Janna must either embrace the holiday spirit or risk losing her PR firm's biggest client. Can Janna muster up some Christmas cheer, or will her bah humbug attitude cost her dearly?
I really was enjoying this book but then it was just getting good and it ended. They didn't get to christmas because it ended, they didn't even kiss because it ended and I'm upset because it ended. Could have been so much better.

This is a short story novella that I found on the Kindle Store for free and thought I would give it a go. I thought that this was a good seasonal story perfect for winter time. I found that the book was a little bit predictable, which took alittle abit of fun out of reading it, however the writting style of Jude Ryan made the story flow well and was easy to read. If you are looking for a lighthearted, uplifting, sweet christmas story to read then this is a good book to pick to fill a feel spare minutes you have.
Janna is a London business woman and not Christmas lover, but she has to put on her best face to work with Alistair Randall, CEO of a big Christmas tree supplier company. His company is going down and she's about to loose one of her biggest clients, so it's her job to try and find him a way to keep the company and her services.
Snower Under, as the title says, is a very short story, more about the Christmas spirit and celebrations than a romance between Janna and Alistair. Thanks to a blizzard, they have to spend a few days together at his cabin, and they discover Christmas brings not-so-happy memories to both of them. They are attracted to each other but the story needed more pages to make it a full romance.
It was a very quick read, but it was disappointing not to know more of Alistair and Janna. It was like the story was left at the middle...maybe a little bit more would have been great!
This was a very short book about a London business woman and a Scottish land owner. They are brought together as Alastair's Christmas tree company uses Janna's advertising firm. This wasn't really a love story, more of a promise of one that could develop in the future. My thoughts when I started the book were that I enjoyed the authors writing style but this was spoilt but the rushed feel of the story. It seemed to follow the old Mills and Boon style of trying to create conflict between the hero and heroine, only to have it resolved with a deeper understanding of their personalities. However, the book was too short for this kind of conflict and Alastair's 360 degree turn on the idea of a golf course felt contrived and unrealistic. I felt that it would have been better published as a short story in a woman's magazine or as part of a compilation of short stories, rather than a stand alone book. I didn't really enjoy this story but would read other works by this author as I did like her writing style.
Snowed Under: A Christmas Story Janna is so busy with work things around Christmas and dreads going to the party. Allastair watches as Jeff scares off another woman. His family company is the Christmas tree grow to glow and they need help. The PR company is going to send Janna and have her return at night then back to the office to report in. Lots of problems occur. She and Allastair don't like the commercialism of the holiday. Story fascinates me as my family ran a nursery and I love trees and like to learn about them. Their tree company has to terminate the business with the PR firm, they just can't make ends meet. Another problem is she won't be making ti back to London... They each have their reasons for not liking the holiday....as they try to keep the dire news from his father...Like setting of woods in Scotland, quite a change of scenery for me. Cute holiday read. Author highlights her other works at the end.
Janna and Alistair find the Christmas season difficult for similar reasons and where one tries to embrace the holiday, the other does their best to avoid it. When Janna is sent by work to try and salvage the company Alistair is desperately trying to keep together, they discover they have more than just their feelings about Christmas in common.
This is a very quick read that didn't really have much going on. There was a hint of a romance between Janna and Alistair but nothing to en-capture the heart and rejoice the Christmas spirit. There was not even one kiss shared between them like you would expect in a romance. This story could have carried on a bit further like exploring events on Christmas day. This story is okay but not great and once read it is unlikely to be reread.
Lovely seasonal short story, Janna works in a top London PR form. She is sent against her better wishes to Scotland to do a consultation with Alistair who runs a failing Christmas tree farm. Janna hates Christmas so to be snowed in while out there is her worst nightmare. Things go from bad to worse when Alastair tells her rather than lose any employees he is going to terminate her contract. In the course of being stuck at the family estate Janna and Alistair explore their mutual dislike for Christmas and is that romance that can be felt in the air? Nice easy read and some wonderful characters.
Just okay for this short story. It does show a writing style that is easy to read, but the plot is predictable. I do have a problem with a Christmas story that uses Jesus' name as a swear word. The only thing Christmassy about the plot was that it takes place in late December. Quick read - an hour on the treadmill.
I felt this was a good premise and basis for a longer, more involved story. This is why I've marked it lower than I would have liked. There were quite a few errors in the text which should be fixed too. A promising story that finished way too soon.
This was ok but not great. The biggest issue was that nothing happened - and I mean nothing. No kiss, no revelation for hero or heroine, just nothing. It didn't have any Christmas spirit.
