Everything Cat is set in a questions and answers format, answering common questions that kids ask about cats. I knew most of the facts about cats in this, but I still enjoyed reading it. This covered a lot of cat facts from food your cats like to eat to persuading not to declaw cats. It had TONS of cat pictures, which I always enjoy :-). I would recommend this book to anyone who loves cats!
Our girls have enjoyed bringing home many different nonfiction books from their elementary school library. The titles are interesting and the narratives, illustrations and photographs, and overall layout of the books makes them just beg to be read. The fact that many of the books have information presented on just one or two pages per topic limits the amount of detail, so the books are not boring, and children (and the adults reading with them) are bound to learn.
We've enjoyed reading the books in the You Wouldn't Want To... series, the Top 10 Worst... series, as well as the Is That a Fact? series. Now our oldest has brought home this book. It appears that there are several titles in the Kids' FAQs series and I will certainly encourage our girls to bring home more.
This book has a lot of entertaining and interesting information about domestic cats and our girls really liked the different topics, even if much of the information was familiar to them. We really enjoyed reading this book together.
I am not much of a cat person, but I loved everything about this book. All the pictures inside were adorable. Anything you need to know about cats or any questions you might have, is all answered in this book. I loved learning about why cats do the things they do and the strange cat facts page. I also thought it was interesting that the book had the resources in the back of the book.
Everything Cat was a book about cats. This book told stuff that cats do and why. This book also tells stuff that cats don't like. Some stuff cats do are eating grass after grooming so hair balls don't block their breathing, and they get on top of the fridge because they like to look out on what's going on below. Some things cats don't like to do or can't do are cats don't always land on their feet if the distance is too short the cat won't have time to turn around all the way, and some cats don't like water that much because their fur takes a while to dry. I really enjoyed this book.
My five-year-old son wanted a book about cats so we picked this one out from our local library.
This is a pretty good book for kids -- lots of pictures of cats. We had to skim some of the pages, but I was able to pull out the important information for him. Our Tuxedo cat even recognized himself on the grooming page.
I love this book! The pictures of cats were so cute! But, there were some disturbing facts about cats I didn't want to know. I am, after all, a cat lover.
