The story of a woman marrying a man for his prestige and money has been done so many times. This one is written better than most. First of all, this gal is doing something all the time so you want to keep on reading just to see what she is going to do next. Some of what she does is hard to read. What she did to her step-son is very hard to read and comprehend. Your heart just goes out to this boy. This book was well-written because it is not repetitive and the court room drama is very nicely condensed. Interesting from beginning to end.

Wow, what a story! This is one you need to read carefully -- don't skim -- because every word is important. Strange tale of a woman who tries to get away from her white-trash roots, only to discover she is a trash-dispensing force far beyond the control of anyone who might try to stop her. The things this woman got away with astound me. This story will stay with me for a long time.

Seemed longer than its' 214 pages as it meandered slowly toward the conclusion.

True Crime!! Excellent!!

From the front of book: "Young, glamorous and sexy, she was every man's fantasy...and a nightmare of death for her husband".

Not good. If the passive voice is liked by you, this book will be enjoyed by you. Not well edited ... several typos including the assertion that Katharine Ross played Mrs. Robinson in THE GRADUATE. Really lacking in detail. What account of a murder doesn't include a detailed description of the 911 call and crime scene? I suspect that the author did not do a great deal of research. Few of the personalities are fleshed out except for a couple who were probably the author's principal sources for the book.

Gold digger!

Susan grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, but never stopped trying for something better. She didn't just want a respectable life-changing wanted to be wealthy, live in a mansion, drive the nicest, newest cars, partake in the social scene of the upper crust. And she learned from an early age that using her body to manipulate men was the way to.get what she wanted. But inside, she was pure evil. She had no guilt or remorse.
This was an interesting case, but the book gave so much detail. Some good editing was definitely needed.

Reads like a Soap Opera!

I read this book on my summer vacation, I'm a teacher. I love to read and powered through this book in just a few days! I'm a true crime fan, and absolutely loved the author's writing style. It was like reading a movie script!

reminder: this is true……

Had to keep repeating that phrase. The author did a great job choosing details and told the story well. Enough realism and emotion to keep me reading and believing, but not so graphic that I wanted to stop.

Typical true crime. Not bad and not over dramatic like some of the true crime novels are.

Good read

A sad story about a woman who just couldn't find her way in society so she became mean and greedy. She got her in the end.

Evil incarnate

A fast paced well written book that I finished in two days. Probably one of the best true crime books I’ve read
