A beautiful and fitting tribute from not only a President to his General, but from a man to his friend.

interesting. amazing considering davis wrote this just weeks before his death 25 years after the war.

Excellent biography by someone who knew the man. Jeff Davis represented General Lee as the great man and commander he was.
