June 11, 2019 I used some of these exercises in my blog to kick start some poetry ideas for myself and others. It seemed quite helpful. This is another book to get back to.

Encourage writer's confidence in creative effective ways
My first introduction to this text was in 1985. It remains one of my favorite. Teaching college composition for the first time, and coming from a blended writing background of journalism and college exposition, I loved the creative opportunity to build students' confidence in their writing that this text offers.
I believe the first thing a writer must acquaint herself with in the writing process is the experience, idea, or object itself. Stop Look and Write offers an effective methodology to do just that. It roots the writer in his/her ability to be patient enough to pay attention to details in the world around us and then to write down those details in simple language
