Dark Horse (Rancho Diablo Book 5)
Lizzie rode into Shooters Crossing with trouble following close behind her and found a friend, a friend who has a family, made of friends who choose to be family and are much closer because of it. When one met with troubles all of them came together to end it. Loved that this was about a black stallion, because that will get my attention every time ! Great Read!!

It's no secret who are the authors of this series of short western novels. This time around, Colby Jackson is James Reasoner and he doesn't disappoint. Though I've only read a fraction of his many books, I have yet to read a bad one.
Two things excite Rancho Diablo hand Duane Beatty: good horse flesh and beautiful women.
So when Lizzie Payton rides into Shooter's Cross with the big stallion Satan, his interest is piqued immediately. That trouble follows her is also another by-product that seems to come with Duane and beautiful women.
Duane is more than just a hand to Sam Blaylock and his family. Friend and almost family, one backed family's play.
A thrilling horse race, a bank robbery, and a dangerous man used to getting his way highlight the climax of this one.
Recommended.

A CJ. Rancho Diablo (5) Western/A Throughbred Stallion/A Female Jockey
CJ. has. Penned the fifth western novel about Rancho Diablo. The tension between the Rancho and the townspeople is troubling for many but not fit the owners of Rancho Diablo. They take in a woman and her horse to prevent a group of gunman killing her and stealing the horse. They have a race and during the race the bank is robbed which had been the intention of the outlaws all along. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

A Really great book
I am really glad I found the books by Colby Jackson. They are really good books. I would advise anyone to try one. You won't be able to put it down.
