Sam Pink is the author of The No Hellos Diet, Hurt Others, I Am Going to Clone Myself Then Kill the Clone and Eat It, Frowns Need Friends Too, and the cult hit Person. His writing has been published widely in print and on the internet, and also in other languages. He lives in Chicago, where he plays in the band Depressed Woman.
I don't hate you, Sam Pink. Your writing style is unique. Your short works ask the question: do humans REALLY have the ability of sympathizing with others? However, even though the narrator of this online chapbook is confused with morality and society in general, he is still an uninteresting character. Several of his musings seem rather bland, especially his use of emoticons and the number of the beast (666), which in recent years have almost become a symbol for the acne-ridden, teenage internet rebel. The title, I gather, is supposed to be a nod to the narrator's moral ambivalence, but it seems to be another pop-culture reference above all else.
