Fascinating to read first hand accounts of epic voyages, such as Columbus and Magellan; well edited by Stefansson (himself an explorer) who focuses on narrative. Favourite was Alexander MacKenzie's 1779 crossing of North America, mainly because he respected the indigenous people (unlike many other explorers here).
