It is a really good book.
I would really recommend this book to 8-13 year old children.
It is really funny. The other books of the series are also just as good. You don’t have to read them in order.

Not awful, but I didn't like it much either.
This book has a pretty specific target audience, and I'm not part of it - the 9yo who recommended it to me loved it.

I didn't enjoy this book. I prefer Diary of a Wimpy Kid, which had much better humor and common sense than this book.
