I thought there would be more information from the Bible in this book. Instead it uses Bible quotes and prayers to encourage spiritual healing and then recommends a diabetic diet and lifestyle. Still helpful, but some of the medical info seems dated to me. Example: He recommends flaxseed oil instead of fish oil for diabetics. New research shows flaxseed does not operate correctly in someone with insulin resistance, so fish oil it is. Also, he recommends bread and banana for diabetics as 'improved' fiber choices. I guess so, if you were eating cookies and sugar cereal before.
The content is good, full of good advice and the Scriptures all over the book provide a lot of encouragement. However, I did not enjoy the translation.
I heard a friend recommend one of these books to his friends at church. I looked it up myself and I'm reading the entire series. Good books sound medical science based on my extensive reading of other books in health. Also, compact well written fast reads packed with great information and Godly health advice.
