This book is a collection of M/M supernatural short stories that were submitted to All Romance eBooks for a reader-voted contest. There was a strick 3,000 word limit. The submissions were both M/M and M/F; however, this volume (of six) contained only M/M stories.
"Taste a Werewolf" by Megan Derr ~ 5 stars
I haven't read much vamp/wolf, though I know there is a bit out there. I liked this story of a professor who reunites with a fantasized-about student. Ms. Derr can do little wrong in my book.
"The Visitor" by Rukaya Hamdi ~ 2.5 stars
Something about this story jus didn't click for me. I think it was the dream sequence In the middle of it.
"Bound For Death" by Anitra Lynn McLeod ~ 3.5 stars
Interesting premise. A vampire is bound at the beach awaiting sunrise and death. The man with him wants to be turned and save him. A pair of BJs and a ride and a f*€k later and not only has the friend been turned but.... Well, I'll let you find that out.
"Bite the Dust" by Sarah Madison ~ 2.5 stars
A vamp story. A very slow build with many shifts in "target". I think this needs to be longer to be a good story.
"Friends, Not Food" by Julia Talbot ~ 4.5 stars
This story had an easy premise to fit within the 3,000 word limit of this contest. Roommates finally coming together in a sexy hand job with the promise of more and more to cum... er, come. I'd love to see how this newly discovered relationship grows.
"Of Men and Mice" by Mira Ismine ~ 3 stars
This was a cute look at one of the challenges of interspecies shifter dating and then a short bit of apology sex to make up for a couple of small transgressions.
"I Promise" by Cardeno C. ~ 4 - 4.5 stars
A romantic look at a promise kept even after a change into a vampire. I would have liked a little more and to know about whether Alexander was as true to Jeremiah as J was to A. But then again, there was a strict word limit. I'd hope there was a continuation.
"Sitting a Feisty Stallion" by ID Locke ~ 5 stars
This was fun! This was hot! So very hot. And as much as I might like to meet these characters again, the story did not feel like it needed more to be complete.
In the interest of full disclosure, I grammer edited "Sitting a Feisty Stallion" for ID Locke.
